I see what is happening. "BMW Brooklyn"s webpage is pulling my location from my login at bmwusa.com (which is south florida). When I got to bmwusa.com and change my location to Brooklyn, it indeed shows 4.49%

Sounds like you should go buy from a different dealer in a different region. The Boston area looks to be 2.89% DC Area is also 2.89%

I wonder if it's tied to your selling dealer or the registration of the vehicle.

It is probably tied to the selling dealer. The APR incentive is also 1500 (and not 2K) in most parts of the west coast.

I heard the Boston area has $2k lease incentive whereas NY has $0. When I called a dealer in Boston they said the incentive was not showing in the system. 🤦🏼

I haven't heard of any lease incentive, only a 2k finance incentive.

My order went through on 12/1 and it's stuck in 'scheduled for production' for more than a week now.
Called BMW USA for order status and it says the same thing. 'scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet'.

I hate when things are stuck and not moving forward.

How long does it typically take for them to start production?

You should be able get the production week number from either your ca or genius now. Mine moved to the next step mid week before the production week.

Ordered mine Nov 5 and just yesterday went from “Scheduled for production“ to “ Production begins“ I did call and spoke to a BMW Genus. He saw a compleation date of 12/21/18. With Christmas I don’t expect it until the first part of January. No fun waiting is it!

That's VERY similar to a deal I was supposed to get from my CA over here in CALI. Same MSRP too It's a good deal. I'd take it. I've since changed my build, but no one has still been able to beat his numbers.

Why are some dealerships saying the APR rebate is $2.5-$3K?

I think that's only pertains to financing and NOT leasing. Max rebate now for leasing is loyalty at $1,500.

My order was placed on 11/30 and moved to production within a day or so. Up until today I was stuck at production begins. Today I blew through exterior body assembly begins, in the paint booth and now in entering assembly line. Exciting day of progress!

Mine changed to production begins 2 days ago.
Called the BMW and they say the estimated completion is 12/21.

It may be delivered before end of the year.

What kind of timing should I be anticipating for ordering an X3 with delivery in Miami? I realize this a different game since they are made in the US.

Assuming your dealer has an allocation that is right about to go into production, I would say 10-20 days.

Fastest I ever had in the Miami area was my e70 x5 and that was 9 days from order to sitting in my garage.

...Ahhhhhh the benefits of being on the East Coast Not that I should be complaining of course, seeing as some guys in the Netherlands took 5 months to get their cars....some even 8. Crazy.
