Its not even that. Many of the writeups are underwhelming; feel like they could have been written in article farms by people speculating or regurgitating public data. 0-60 times, power figures, features and options.
I suspect we will have to wait until the cars get into the hands of publications to see meaningful reviews rather than press junket stuff, although since this isn’t a hot model release we may not see many real reviews. |

"BMW expect the X3 to supplant the X5 in the near future." I guess when the X3 is the size of the original e53 so I guess it makes sense. Plenty of space yet not huge like the newer x5's are becoming.

Journalists in quotes
Agreed. Most of these journalists are know-nothings who have zero credentials in the automotive, racing, or off-road industry.
Unfortunately in 2017 anyone with an iPhone and an Instagram account who does donuts in a Joanns Crafts parking lot is an expert.

Yeah, between the basic BMW supplied press photos and the regurgitation of stats these reviews didn't really do anything for me. |

Invited to release tomorrow evening, not sure what to think yet. I feel neither new BMW are giving me these «want» emotions. The F11 are elegant and refined enough, and the F25 does what it is supposed to do. To much money to buy another new ICE powered vehicle imo.

"BMW says six in 10 new X3s will be sold as M Sport models, with bold 19-inch alloys, M-specific body styling and, inside, a lovely set of M Sport leather seats. The most popular engine by far will be the xDrive20d, with 80 percent of sales; the xDrive30d that we drove will take 15 percent of sales, leaving the M40i and upcoming xDrive20i petrols to fight over the remaining 5 percent." - Motoring Research (UK)
Hmm, I wonder what the expectation of M40i sales are in the US vs the 30i? I thought a lot more would opt for the M40i but perhaps I'm off. |

There is absolutely no way that the front end of this thing is better looking than the f25 (which wasn't exactly pretty).
Styling is underwhelming - but that's been the theme from bmw since the G11 was released.
