Did I see this correct? The X3M failed 4 times in a row on standing start because the electronics throttled engine output to avoid transmission overload?

How much torque is the X3M pushing here then? Way over 800Nm?

The reason this spun so much was due to tires getting cold (summer rubber) in a little cooler weather and no prep. Holding Launch Control rpm above 2500rpm will cause this type of spin in un-prepped surface stock or tune. In this example, it is tuned so the spinning in Launch was happening more often.

Hmmm, probably we didn't see the same clip here!? To me the bmw goes to safe guard or limp mode to prevent transmission overload.

What's next, a hyper tuned civic R crushing a Chiron on a very specific isolated test to conclude it's the better hyper car? You tell me??

X3M is a very quick car even in stock form. Comparing an M car with a Civic makes you look like a dumbo. Be smarter than that.

Or your requested torque values are in seemingly high

After the second time and spinning, the car would have gripped with reasonable LC in place.

Sounds like you know more about the car than the owner himself lol
Guess you don't realize what summer rubber in cold temps or damp surface do.

Btw, why are you in this thread didn't your car blow a cylinder since your Mission tune was so good?
You gotta have a fantasy with BM3 cars/ threads you're in all haha.

Engine is not the only part under stress, entire transmission is.

My godchild had a M135i with mild stage 1 tune (360hp/580Nm), only 10kmiles on the odo and had 2 transmission repairs of 7k€ and 9k€ respectively within half a year and then he ditched his "dream car". Not entirely unexpected, transmission max spec was ZF8HP450.

The X3M in the clip here is certainly a giant monster. But probably a bit too big a monster to stay out of serious repair trouble on short/mid term.

You’re running your mouth like you are some experienced aftermarket tuner. A well-tuned and maintained M car (not M Performance) will run 50k miles with no to minimal problems.

With a stage 3 tune, there is virtual no limit to the power you can extract: ecu, downpipe/exhaust, filter/intake and the real magic comes from a bigger turbo (with more lag and threshold). Nice but most of the mechanical components are pushed way beyond design specification.

When it wouldn't, why doesn't bmw deliver it in their competition pack already? The extra boost comes to the expense of durability and reliability.

The car in the video is stage 2 (downpipes and remap). This is still a relatively safe tune.
