Has anyone done (or know of a vender that offers) a dual exhaust conversion on an f25 35i? I don't like the quad exhaust look on an x3, was looking for something similar to a 335i. It's easy to go custom, but I don't want to cut out the bumper myself..

Thoughts?

Not sure how you can do a dual exhaust similar to a 335i without modifying and cutting the bumper

I suppose I'm ok modifying whatever is needed, as long as it's part of a kit.. I just haven't seen any?

I'm thinking, the right hand side exhaust tip can hang .... BELOW the bumper?

Or exit behind the rear tire.

I guess reading the entire thread is not for everybody.

I'm trying to avoid going with a custom exhaust because *I* don't want to be the one modifying the bumper. I want to buy a kit. If it replaces the bumper so be it. Similar to when you buy an Akrapovic exhaust and buy a new diffuser - id rather buy a whole kit vs hack it.

The only dual outlet mufflers available for X3 that bolt on is from Remus or Supersprint.. The Supersprint is much more expensive. The Remus comes with a template to cut the bumper. Then there is custom muffler possibilities as well. As far as sound, replacing only the catted downpipe will give you a lot more sound and performance. I have a catted performance downpipe but I wish I had the catless version as the cat seems to have burned out and does nothing anymore for emissions.
