Remote start

Before I started buying BMW's all my cars had remote start standard. Does anyone know the best was to have it added to a bmw? I was worried that just going to Best Buy and having one installed might cause computer problems. I can use the app the ventilate my car in advance, but not make it heat up.

Viper Smart Start will work, but it takes a very skilled professional to install correctly. It's not something you hand over to your local Best Buy.

The downside?

It disables BMW's security feature where the car won't start unless your key is nearby (comfort access) or in the ignition (non-comfort access). Anyone can steal your car quite easily. There's a good chance if your car was stolen, your insurance would try to deny your claim.
