Most of us will NEVER transverse our X3M in such a manner, but nice to see that it could... (fun to watch it bouncing over the boulders on three wheels!). Off road tests begins 2:32.

It sure does. Nice to know for the curves. I don't think I'll ever test its off roading capabilities.

Hey man, what’s up? The car in this video looks like your car’s clone (incl. Supersprint exhaust).

Super weak YouTubers stealing content. Here is the original, go to 6:35 for off road content.

AlexFL, you must have a keener eye than me. How could you tell it had a SS exhaust? I totally missed that. For the record, I have only modded the primary cat which is invisible but not inaudible. (plus a tune which is starting to look weak compared to bootmod3)

I could tell from the sound that’s the exhaust is not stock. On her instagram, she mentions that it’s Supersprint.

So I originally only watched it from about six minutes in, dunno why, and missed the exhaust notes in the beginning. I restarted it from the beginning and now see (hear) exactly what you're talking about. You're absolutely right. It not only looks like my clone, but sounds like her too (although my tune revs out quite a bit faster). I'm starting to go into withdrawl as I await her voyage back to her country of birth. My mom sent me a photo yesterday in Dallas traffic and wrote *X3 in front of me. " I just looked at the solo tail pipe on the left side and shook my head. That chassis can house a whole 'nother beast. March ain't getting here soon enough.

Mr. Italy, I think you watched the wrong video. I had posted a second one in the same thread. Just click the link below. Sorry for the confusion!

Yes, definitely a different video. Her car was the first one fitted by supersprint to make the jigs for the other X3MCs. She originally went with a high flow cat, like me, but also changed all the other components in her exhaust with SuperSprint. That's why hers is is even louder than mine. Since then, I've heard she's still wants more sound as has asked SuperSprint to swap out her high flow primary cat with a straight downpipe. Not sure if she's made the swap yet or not. I actually followed her on Twitter for a while but decided Twitter ain't my thing.

The AWD system takes an agonizingly long time to react when one wheel is in the air. I was surprised by the lag.

Ugh, I'm glad the car's that capable, but I don't have the guts to drive around at those angles & I'd absolutely freak out if I was teetering on 3 wheels like that. No thanks. I'm queasy just watching it.

Seriously impressive capability. BMW really nailed it with this X3M.

In my mind, this would be the perfect daily.

In my heart, I would stick with an F80 M3.

Oh the terrible choices we face

It performed well, but I share your sentiments. I thought torque vectoring was present in the BMW AWD system and stops the tires that lose traction from spinning. Maybe I misunderstood what torque vectoring was

It's chinese, I like how they do roller test though (ie gentle throttle input instead pedal to metal and eventually just spit out the roller which then basically told me nothing...)

Unless you've got diff locks that's always going to happen, same with the Cayenne when I was taken on a similar course, car goes onto 3 wheels shuffles/grinds/spins the unloaded wheel, shuffles some more and then eventually puts some power to the loaded wheel.

I bet the driver was delicate with the gas pedal to make sure the car did not smash into the next obstacle.
