US release date?

Does anyone know the official release date in USA?

Since they pulled the cars out of M tour - i suspect they are delaying release till June at least.

Has anyone received the car? or is it at the dealer? They were making them full swing by the end of April. Where id they all go?

Yep, I have a confirmed production for week 28 which should be July 8th.

April production was limited to display cars for car shows etc. Some dealerships should have been able to order cars for customers sometime in May however, I haven't heard of anyone actually getting that.

Timing was not on my side and the slide to July is terrible for me I honestly wish I could cancel, but I already gave a 10% down payment.

If you can wait, it's probably best to wait until Mar or Apr of next year, that way you can get ID7 (if you care about that), the M Seat Belts and the other carbon packages will be available.

and it has smaller rear tires compared to all the competition and even to the lesser X3M40i and it has the old iDrive 6 while MB just showed the MBUX in the refreshed GLC63 . it does not have forged wheels , no full leather , no laser lights , 1 choice of seats , MB and ALFA both have 2 choices ! etc..... so it is realsed after the 3 series with an older tech and several compromises .... especially those 265 rear tires, that width is already too narrow on the smallest M car the M2.

yes i am not happy, i would've loved to have reasons to stay faithful but it is hard call .

Good dealer shouldn't have issue returning your deposit on a car not even built yet. I cancelled once on a car that arrived already, no issue. the CA sure hell mad at me. The last one, I had to cancel an M2 once my name came up for an allocation, cause I thought I wanted an X3M/X4M instead but now I am not sure.

Yeah all these delays and f'ups and I'm out. Looking to probably put the wife in an M340i and then will consider X3M in late 2020 when SQ5 lease is up.

The tire sizes are strange for sure with the narrower rear tire than the X3M40i. I never liked perforated leather on the seats which the photo of the seat looks like it has even without the ventilated seat option. The dash display is fine to me rather than the backwards tach look. Plus only 19 MPG highway at best. May just see what the upcoming M3 is all about.

As of today no allocation has been released to dealers yet. Should be within the next week I would think.

I'm waiting....they'll rip off the first batch of buyers...and there will be bobbles to sort out...if this rollout is anything like previous comp models then they'll be discounts six month after initial release....it's been proven in the past...

Thank you for the info. I wonder... why the delay? Have they decided to put new live dash and i drive 7 in those to match the rest of x3 rollout for 2020

They are delaying 2020 price guides for x3 and x4 as well. All other models have it but not x3

With x3 m 40 getting
- new 382 hp engine
- new tech
- m sport seats
- possible merino leather

The gap to x3 m is smaller and smaller.

Exactly. Seems like they are delaying x3 guides for 2020 production. I'm deciding as well between 2020 x3 m40 or x3 M as the gap keeps closing... Once ordering guides come out and I can drive an X3 M then I will be able to decide. Next M allocation is suppose to be June 6th so lets see if thats true 🤞

June 6 is my M day. Will be interesting to see if my Certified M Dealer has an allocation or a Launch Vehicle allocation on that day.

Some of the new reviews said available in July. Not sure if that means allocations or in showrooms.

That's what my CA told me back in March/April, when everyone here kept saying he was an idiot. He said to me if I want one contact him back in July for August build, at least here in PNW that's the fastest he can get allocations at his dealership.

But now I am not 100% sure I want one, need to see in person first either X3M or X4M.
