Going mad trying to update software

Mine (an x30i) has the same versions, but mine was built in early April. MarkyM (M40i) also has the same versions, but I believe his was also built in early April.

We'll just have to get people with newer builds to report what they have.

Yes that right, mine was built early April as well, I have a iPhone 8 and haven't had any problems with it so far, recent calls show correctly

Mine was built middle April but I do have issues with my iPhone X...

Almaretto has highlighted the latest version so I’ll try to work out how I get it

Only way is dealership or self flashing firmware.

What issues are you having?, I must admit I don't use the phone a lot in the car so it may just be I haven't come across them yet

There’s a software update now available for download.
Looks like it fixes a bug with iPhone 8 and X.

I also get invalid VIN on the UK verison of that page, trying both my incoming M40d VIN and my 2016 F30 VIN!

Interesting... the VIN on my old 435GC doesn't get recognized now, either. I'd used this website twice in the past to download updates for that car and never had a problem with VIN recognition.

Same here. Neither of my cars VINs are recognized (2016 435 and 2015 X5). They both were recognized previously (with previously being months ago), but didnt have software updates.

Personally, I think it's one or more of:

US cars are not supported.
BMW is too cheap to update/maintain the website/database.
BMW is just incompetent when it comes to web sites/services. Just look at the ConnectedDrive "fiasco": it didn't work in the US for quite a while, and it didn't work in Canada until a couple of months ago. Also, Google's send to car feature used to work but now fails with the message, "We couldn't communicate with your automaker", and setting your map region in the web ConnectedDrive hasn't worked for weeks. IFTTT integration used to work, but is now broken. Not sure how true it is, but someone said it'll never work again.

I like the X3, but their web services/apps are a joke.

Yeah it did.
My build is Dec 2017... I’m in Australia but used the US site as per link.
The update is for iPhone 8 and X bugs.
So there’s no real iDrive updates or features. It was the telephony parts only.

That page seems to imply that any updates are for phones, USB, and wireless charging ....

im based in Australia and that link didnt like my VIN either. i noticed in a newer loaner car that the navigation screen has been updated to include detailed route guidance. Been keen to get that version onto my car. This is different to the map updates, i believe, which i have updated to the latest version.

I was getting the same invalid VIN message but tried it again the other day and was able to download the update.

Before:
Telephone: TB-006.006.006

After:
