Guys, after been a week of 2019 X3m40i ownership. I really like the aggressive exhaust sound until it starts the vibration/rattle sound at the first 30 secs of cold start. Plz check the Youtube video below. Seems I'm not along in this forum facing this problem.

I believe the exhaust tip does that, cuz when I use my hand to hold the bottom of the tip, and the noise just gone. But will bring it in service tomorrow anyway, I will update here once dealer gives me a solution.

Correct, you are not alone and others have had this issue unfortunately. I was able to resolve mine easily with some header wrap wrapped up and just behind the exhaust tip. Or you can take it to the dealer.

Hi,
We had the same when ours was brand new.
Dealer said BMW knew about this fault and the exhaust was replaced under warranty.

Alright I'm back! Dealer replace the whole muffler for me as many of you guys mentioned before. My car stay there overnight and they get the job done on the next afternoon, really impressed me.
But the question here is how come a $60000 car have this kind of quality?!

Good to hear they replaced 👍 There are cars much more more expensive than this that have issues. My neighbours brother in law had a terrible paint defect on his brand new probably $300k Mclaren LT that it was rejected.
