It is available for download now for anyone interested in updating their Europe or North American maps to 2014-1 version. This is a 3 USB Thumb Drive version that requires 3 each 8 GB or larger Fat32 Formatted USB Thumb Drives. It can also be done with a single 8 GB USB Thumb Drive, although it is not the preferred method.

For those with pre 09/2009 builds, you can make 3 Double Layer Double Density Drives instead and install it from DVD Drive.

You will of course to need to purchase an FSC Code as always to install it, but your net cost will be 80% less than ordering Online, and even > 80% less than what the dealership charges.

Probably a silly question, but how do I know whether my Satnav is CIC or NBT.
I have a 2013 F25 X3 2.0ltr D Auto M Sport, Business Professional Navigation and it seems that the Satnav is about 4 years old although the build date was Dec 2012.

He will know from you VIN when you order, but:

I had an X5 6 years ago and I was able to purchase updated DVD's on t'internet for about £25, and they included speed camera locations ;-))

Update is simple. Download map, extract, copy to thumb drive, and install.

Dealer cost for same is 6x the cost.

You cannot add Speed Traps and POI's or anything to Hard Drive based navigation systems (CIC & NBT). This is only possible with DVD Based navigation systems.

My system is NBT; Road Map EUROPE Next 2013.
Interested in the updated Western & Eastern EUROPE 2014, I've seen somewhere 2014-2 but it's probably the 2014-1 as "-2" should be available on the end of the year, isn't it? Cheers.

Hi, one strange question for you

Do we have the possibility to have SPEED LIMIT INDICATOR with the NBT stsem & maps, please?

I suppose that BMW doesn't want it in the road map gps as the profitable option on the long car configuration list ) BUT maybe it can be available somehow.

SPEED CAMERAS are not available in the NBT system up to my understanding

No. SLI requires KAFAS Camera and a 7E FSC Enabling Code issued by BMW AG and Imported and Activated in KAFAS ECU, and 8TH Coding.

You also cannot add SLI Data, Speed Trap Data, POI Data, or anything other Data to Hard Drive based Navigation Systems (CIC & NBT) either.
