I have the base HiFi system with 12 speakers. Currently, eyeing a set of used Bavsounds for 300.. wondering how much of an improvement you noticed going from HK to Bavsound? Also, would you happen to know if they would be plug and play w/ the base HiFi? Depending on how much you're asking, I may be interested in trying out the HK speakers.. but I would only need the door speakers and center channel speakers. Have no need for the trunk speakers and the subs since they are 8 ohm woofers.

Very subjective. I would say the distance from base to HK is about the same from HK to Bav. The Bavs would probably sound even better with an amp, but since I have the HK amp, it's not easy to go and get something "drop-in." No idea about the connections. I am only interested in selling the entire set, it's slow enough to sell without going piecemeal.
