Hi All,


My name is Mate.
I started a big job. My car is G02 X4 30ix USA.
I-step: 18-03-541

My car has not a Driving Assistant Plus and Parking assistant Plus options.
I decided, I will trying retrofit them.

What parts I have for DA+:

- Hydro unit DSC with ACC support (400$)
- SAS module (150$)
- front Long range sensor (ACC sensor) (200$)
- 2 x short range sensor for the front left & right side. (400$)
- wirings made by myself

Necessary parts for the PA+:

- 2-2 sensor for rear & front bumper (80$ around)
- icom2 camera set( 4x camera) with mirrors and module and wiring set (800$ around)

All parts was used, from eBay...

I know after the complete installation and coding need a calibrations too...

And now my problem. I'm not sure how I can programming the new parts. I bought an used parts, at the moment I can read them with esys or ICOM-Next(I have an original) , but I can not code them.
I think the used parts has a different codings like my car, maybe some parts hase a different VIN too.

I have a esys 3.28 with ENET and original ICOM NEXT.
I did a VO coding successfully.

I think I have all necessary program and HW for the right coding, only I would like asking a little help for my project.

I found a lot of info on the internet what i may do, but this informations for F- and E series. I don't like make a big mistake, I am not sure the G - series coding is same like F or E series.

Could anybody write me the instructions how I can add an used SAS module or DSC unit to my car?

I am curious, was it ever possible to create this post before spending $1,150 on ebay for those parts ?

With all due respect to your project, I do not think you will find answers to your questions here. This is much bigger, than enabling full screen CarPlay, which some people know how to do, but SELL it for their profit.

Yes, and thank you for your wish, I will solve this project , it possible to do it, only I hope will read this post anybody who installed used parts to his BMW and can help to me...

Now all are ok. NBT coded too.

Congrats. I'm interested in finding out how many hours it took you to finish this project? Do you have prior experience in retrofitting these types of systems?

Great job! I want to retrofit Driving Assistant Plus to my X3 G01. It has already ACC and Driving Assistant from factory, so maybe only the front radar short range sensors and different steering wheel necessary?

where exactly did you acquire the FSC codes from ? Driving Assistance requires at least 3 of them for the KAFAS module, and won't work with VO coding alone.

hello everyone, post here as I have done on other forums. i have a xdrive g21 330 d with acc, park assist plus etc. I ventured out and bought and assembled all the hardware needed to post-mount the dap (5au). I did, all ok in diagnosis. only the machine asks me for the activation codes (FSC) kafas High (4). obviously BMW does not release them .. can someone help me? there are other people who have given me availability but I have not solved yet. Any suggestion is welcome! Many thanks!

I’m in the same boat. Anyone have an idea for the FSC codes ?

Someone could have more information about FSC for KAFAS4-High ?
As I have only KAFAS4-Mid, I must replace it by the High version with different FSCs
