2019 X4 Software update issues

I'm trying to update my software via USB and I getting a message that says "No USB with software connected to USB audio interface."

I went to the BMW Software update site and put my VIN in and it said I was due for an update. I downloaded the UPD09042.bin file. I tried it with and without unzipping it. Anyone know what the deal is?

My X4 is a custom build from January.

Yeah, I don't know why that update is showing for our vehicles? It is for the "TB-001." And ours is as you show, TB-006.

One of the following versions will be installed depending
on your vehicle:
▷ TB 001.062.032 & MB 001.062.040 &
HB 001.062.032

Interesting, couldn't find the download on our local BMW site but could find it on the global one. For who's interested, see https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html and fill in your VIN.

Does anyone has the previous change logs as well?

I've got the exact same question... my car's already showing TB-006. as the software, but this one shows up on BMW's site as available. When I plug the USB into the car, it doesn't want to update.

If it's a TB-001. version though, doesn't that mean it's OLDER than what's on the car? Maybe that's why?

And if these are just COMPATIBLE with our cars, then the car is perhaps checking first to see if what you're installing on the USB is newer than what's on the car already, before going ahead.

That would then make sense...

Anyone know how the versions work? If it's like typical software, the higher the number at the beginning, the newer the version...

I checked the update for my VIN.

It's only a minor update to restore playback of a CD/DVD from the point at which it was paused.

Hardly seems worth the effort.
