Hi everyone, before you judge... I know what an EGR does and how it works. I know where is should be on my 30d engine, I've watched the youtube videos on how to replace - it's not there! Am I missing something - is it hiding on plain site?! I'm wondering if previous owner has modding or slotted in a cooler from a different spec/bmw model??

Have attached pic of egr cooler on my car (I've bought this car third hand) so who knows?!

Any thoughts welcome? I had started to remove EGR cooler as bad weather kicked in. Hoping someone on here can save me a load of time!

As you can see on this pic:

a) I've snapped a pipe which is really annoying as cant find anywhere!(Have plugged with a wooden chopstick whilst engine off. )

b) there is no egr thermostat visible on this cooler- I'm stumped.
