Crossed 1000 miles on my X3M this weekend, scheduled for break-in service. I'm hoping to do a 1000 mile trip for Thanksgiving.

The weekend was mostly 1-2 hour highway trips. It looks like I got 21+ mpg. I played with suspension settings and surprisingly Sport was more settled on rough concrete interstate sections. On smooth pavement, Comfort was better.

So far I really like it although I am experiencing an odd vibration at idle, sometimes at low speeds too. It's definitely not tire and speed related.
I'll have them look at that during the service appointment.

I did the break in service. Note I had mentioned of an occasional rough idle so I mentioned that to the SA. At times it felt like a miss but would usually go away as soon as above idle. I wondered about bad gas in the tank since the car had sat so long on the lot. So I went down to 40 mile range on the last fill up. It felt much better afterwards and the dealer found nothing. No saved codes either. So we'll see on that.

The car felt good on the way home. I even blew the doors off a Q5 on a 2 lane on ramp.

Charity laps on the Charlotte Motor Speedway oval. Unfortunately I didn't have my GoPro handy and was by myself so no video. I was right behind the pace car anyways and couldn't get above 75 mph. I-485 to get there averaged 85....
I took this pic while in line waiting for my turn.

PS: Last year I did the Roval charity laps in my M2 Comp. It's more fun than just the oval and I was in the back of the group and able to hit 120!

I did my best to get it as dirty as possible in the mud and got some cool pics out of it! Unfortunately I also spent an hour washing it and spraying mud out of the wheel wells. I'm certainly getting my use out of this lifted hot rod.

Garage List
2020 X3MC  [0.00]
BIS

Took it in for break-in service. "sorry sir we don't have differential fluid and we don't know when we can get it."

I called them a month ago asking if we need anything special before I schedule BIS. Then scheduled with a week's notice....

Saw the new 4 series though. Amazed at how small the grill seemed compared to my impression from pics. I could almost buy it, but not.
