Fuel/gas door

Hi,

Got my vehicle back from the dealer, and I’m starting to question the fitment on the fuel door. To me it seems like the fuel door panel is sitting out ever so slightly more than the surrounding panel. Looking inside the door, I have a very small gap between the mechanism and the panel. I cannot remember if the fitment was like this before it went in for the re-spray.

Can you share pictures of the back of the fuel/gas door from the side, will get a picture of what mine is like in the morning.

Cheers.

Hi Rukburd

My fuel door is the same it sits slightly higher than the panel.

Will try to get a pic tomorrow after she's had a clean.

May mention to dealer when it goes in for the RIS.

So I have the below photos, as you can see a clear gap exists between the mechanism and the door. I cannot remember if this was the case prior to the re-spray. I am also wondering if the re-spray has lost some of the depth of colour compared to the other panels, or maybe I'm looking for issues as I know it's been re-sprayed.

Here's some pics of my fuel door. I can't say I completely understand what you are seeing in your pics but hopefully this will be a good comparison:

Thanks for the pics, looks similar to mine. I was questioning the gap between the two parts. I suspect if the gap was smaller the fuel door would sit a little more flush.

In the last photo, the fuel door needs to be moved forward a bit. It's not centered.
