Today's update!

"Hey Brock,

I'm sorry for the continued delays.

My final production brackets should be done by now (they're across town getting anodized) but it just seems like everywhere is dragging their feet (I'm sure it seems like that with me too, haha)

You'll be the first to know they're ready and we can get that list together for these. The last thing we need to get figured out is the install procedure. BMW didn't do any favors with this vent as once you remove the vent trim all the slats are free to fall out of the vent instead of being held captive still.

I'll talk to you very soon, thanks for checking in (again) and for your continued patience!

-Jake"

That vent reminds me of the one from my 2016 S4. If you even looked at it funny while removing it, the slats would just explode out of it. If you can reassemble it, you become some type of deity on Audizine.

Recent update from Jake!

"Hey Brock,

I hope you're well. I just wanted to check in on this. We're finalizing a few things on the install procedure of this. The issue is once the trim is removed from the vent housing, neither the trim or the housing hold all the slats. In other words, once you pull the trim, all the slats are free and not very easy to reinstall.

Since people of all skill levels buy these, we're trying to make sure we figure out the easiest possible solution. We may end up going with the left center vent as a backup if needed. I'll let you know what we figure out, thanks.

Oddly enough -- I actually prefer the driver side center vent for these things. Its not convenient for AC purposes, but know people who put their P3s in the center vents on their RS3s as it was easily doable and it was much more useful and accessible there it felt like

I have a 2016 S4. Amen, brother. I bot the P3 gauge in the vent already. I can't imagine putting it back to stock. Those clips are GOLD in the Audi world as I don't think they are sold without buying the entire vent and shrouding.

I have great news!!

The X3/X4 P3 Gauge is complete! See below for the final version. It will fit BOTH Pre-LCI and LCI models. This will be utilized in the vent to the left of the steering wheel, closest to the window. At this time, the purchase is for the screen only. You will need to utilize your OEM vent or purchase one elsewhere. They are not offering the entire kit at the moment.

I am hoping to get one of the first units in soon so I can fit it and provide more photos. They did publish a guide that can be found attached. BF97 Install Guide.pdf

This group buy is a one time deal and your only chance to receive a discount on this!! If we can get 30+ people in on this it's $97 off of the gauge which is unheard of! I promise you wont find one cheaper than this.

Please ONLY reply to this post if you are ready to buy. I'm working on getting a link setup on P3's website as we speak to purchase through.

CHECK YOUR INBOX!

As of now all members should have received a DM from me with instructions on how to purchase.

Thank you all very much for the interest and making this happen! It's cool to bring products to the X3/X4 market because we all know we don't get much love over here haha.

If you missed out on the group buy, you can still purchase the P3 gauge at msrp from the listing below.

Install on this thing was a walk in the park! It took me probably 30-45 mins start to finish.

I'll have a install guide in a separate thread that I will link when it's ready but here are the goods!

Ok... LCI owners I have some unfortunate news.

Talking with P3 this morning and it looks like the current version screen that was shipped out is not going to work in the LCI vent. The dimensions are incredibly close however there is a 1-2mm gap on the right side which does not allow the screen to sit flush. See below.

Name: IMG_9577 (1).jpg
Views: 52
Size: 445.2 KB

The bright side, P3 has a revision made already and it will go into production tomorrow and a LCI solution should be out within the next week or so.

If you have an LCI and ordered a gauge, please reach out to Jake at service@p3cars.com and he will handle the whole process for you.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience but they'll get you taken care of!
