Running-in period of X3

I have a question:
The car manual says that the running-in period of a new car should not exceed 4500 rpm within 2000 kilometers, and the speed should not exceed 160 kilometers per hour. I switch to sport plus and go about 80-90 km/h. Is it more than 4500 RPM? Will it hurt the car?
My car is 2022 X3 M40i
Thank you 🙏
Happy New Year

Yes Sport Plus can definitely put you past 4500 rpm without much throttle because of the gearing.

But you should switch your instrument cluster to show you RPMs so you can see for yourself and adjust.

Whether or not it will hurt your car is a debate that always goes nowhere on forums.
