32302459671 should be available at bmwpartspros and getbmwparts. both are forum sponsors and my go to for OEM parts.

and no not lowered yet. haven’t decided on H&R or Dinan springs. Everyone says h&r but I dont want the ride getting too soft either. Either way I’ll probably wait after winter to tackle the suspension.

Thank you man. Saw it was over $400 for that small little steering wheel trim cover piece. CF bit cost way too dam much.

And same here. I'm waiting to see more reviews. I think the DINAN kit doesn't go as low. So I may go that route after winter.

OEM M-Performance CF/Leather Steering Wheel Trim

part number: 32-30-2-471-439

It's here! Proper CF/Leather Steering Wheel Trim (for LCI models with both DAP and Heated Steering Wheel) installed last night. Fitment was (obviously) perfect being an OEM piece. I really appreciate the leather over Alcantara since I don't have a single Alcantara piece in the interior. CF matches the CF paddles as well. Happy how it turned out.

Not much else to do with the interior so I guess I'm done modding here. The one and only thing that is bugging me now is the center console. I have no idea why BMW decided to go with piano black plastic instead of doing all CF like the other M models (G8x, F95/96, etc.). Not sure what to do with that since no one makes an aftermarket CF console for that. Maybe go the custom route one day. I just wish there was a reliable source for 2022 F97 LCI parts list like realoem. Anyone who can point me to the right direction it'd be greatly appreciated.

More mods (that I did not plan on purchasing) on the way. I promised myself not to go overboard with this car after the F80 but what can I say... there is no cure for the mod bug. Wallet and wife aren't gonna be happy.

Looks great - nice finishing touch. And excellent images (they should use some for their product brochure).

Looks great danniexi

Inspiring me to do some of the same mods! I was able to convince the wife on the IND front reflectors after showing her your pictures. Bit of a battle on the additional CF parts though haha

@danniexi Looks so good. I went autotecknic and m3/m4 bottom trim to have the m logo on the bottom. I know the alcantara might not fit in with the leather steering wheel but I want to have the whole steering in alcantara like the one I currently have in my m3.

How is your center console holding up from scratches etc?

Also, noticed your screen still have the plastic film over. Are you planning on putting a protector over it?

thanks. i wouldnt have minded the alcantara if since i had thought about upgrading the steering wheel to the Pro (reminds me of the V2 MPerf wheel on my F80) but i fell too much in love with DAP that i can’t sacrifice it. i dont care much about the heating, but the assist plus feature in traffic is a godsend and something that I can’t live without now.

as for center console, its holding up fine. no micro scratches (yet). i just dont like how it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the other CF pieces.

and yesssss. i am in dire need a screen protector, but i can’t find ANYTHING. i want to get rid of it so badly but there’s no proper fitting one in the market.. waiting game i suppose.

[QUOTE=danniexi;28002317]car is officially no longer “stock”. got weathertech floor + cargo mats with X3MC badging (cheesy i know, but look much better) and painted front reflectors are in from IND-Distribution. of course, color match is perfect.

Thats clean, where did you get the X3M Comp badging for the weathertech?

The carbon fiber steering wheel trim looks excellent. And if it wasn't $400+ for the pre-LCI cars I may be in more of a rush to order one. LOL

Just to confirm, danniexi, you have the OEM CFRP/leather steering insert part # 32-30-2-471-439c (MSRP $466.00) and OEM G8X CFRP shift paddle set part #61-31-9-501-592 (MSRP $703.30)?

The 'c' shows up on the insert when checking get bmw parts so wanting to be sure same one. Thanks!

getbmwparts lists the "c" in the part number for some reason. bmwpartspros and other vendors lack the "c". it makes no difference; they are all the same. and yes, i fitted the G8x shift paddles as well.

last time i spoke with getbmwparts the trim was on backorder shipping from Germany, so it was a few weeks wait. not sure if they have it in stock yet. bmwpartspros said the same thing but said it should be in their warehouse by now.

Another day, another mod:

Eventuri CF Intake System

So, to be honest, this was probably one of the LAST things I was going to do on the platform but.... oh well. Got my hands on one so I might as well.

As with all Eventuri systems, build quality is superb, the CF weave is pristine, and fitment is spot-on (ish). Install was easy considering it was basically getting access to the intake lid and nothing more. The scoops, on the other hand, were a bitch since they didn't fit correctly (more on that later).

In terms of anything gained? Err... well not much, if at all. I know intakes wouldn't do much in terms of power, especially considering I am not tuned, but I was hoping for at least a notable difference in terms of sound. With the F80 eventuri intakes, I at least got to hear some swooshy-swoosh sounds from the turbos, but those sounds aren't apparent on the F97 at all even with the CF lid and filters. I *might* hear a little bit more noise from the engine when pushing it under load, but that could all be placebo as well. I guess I need some more seat time with it since I only drove the car with my entire family inside so I couldn't push it as much as I wanted. And maybe the ASD is drowning out those sounds as well. I dunno. Just a slight bit disappointed with it is all. It sure looks pretty though. LMAO and now because I have the Eventuri intake, I am now obligated to get the CF strut brace as well to match. I've already ordered it and should arrive in the next two weeks or so. FML. The only thing gained from this install was a lighter wallet. I guess the weight savings really do add up?

Oh, the scoops. Well I guess the shape of the LCI bumper changed a tiny bit from the pre-LCI because getting the grill back on was damn near impossible. In terms of the process, they were exactly the same as the pre-LCI as per instructions (except for removing the camera in the middle). However, the CF scoops extend 2mm a little too far and aren't flush with the grill openings, so they get in the way of the double slats of the kidney grills. It took my a while to get the grills back on, but with some elbow grease and mild punches + frustration + lots of swearing, I was able to get them back on. It's tight in the there so Eventuri may have to modify the scoops to fit flush with the bumper opening. Honestly a millimeter or two should do it. Hopefully I haven't scratched the back of the doubles slats too much getting them on. whoops.

So yeah, not sure if I recommend to most people. Going in, I knew I wanted some engine bay bling which the Eventuri system achieves. Just don't expect anything else out of it imo.

Another Mod to complete the engine bay...

OEM M-Performance Carbon Fiber Strut Brace

This mod is an absolute must and has the most impact when it comes to improving driving dynamics. The carbon fiber weave is immaculate, as is any other OEM product. Fitment is perfect and install was a breeze. The best part is the reduction in weight and rigidity. This piece is absolutely light as a feather compared to the aluminum strut brace, which is not a heavy weight to begin with. On top of that, the light weight and super rigid structure really change the way the front axle responds to steering input as well as chassis control. Around tight bends the car now feels so much better when it comes to steering response. Comfort is still retained, but steering has become lighter yet much more accurate. The car feels so much more composed through long and tight turns that it brings so much more confidence around corners. I can't believe that this brace can make such a difference when it comes to driving dynamics.

I'm just kidding. This thing is a waste of money. I just wanted it because it's pretty. Nothing more.

A few photos to end this pointless post.

You cracked me up…
I started to read and thought that brace could not have made that much of a difference until I got to your punch line …

Great ride and excellent choices of mods so far

Have there been reports of H&R springs softening the ride of the X3MC?

some say “more comfy ride than stock” or “just as good as stock.” after reading more and more it seems like the pre-lci sans programming really was that stiff out of the factory (i wouldnt know, never driven one), not so much that the H&R were softer than OEM. that being said, seems like H&R are the way to go. i’ve totally dismissed Dinan as of this point due to all the issues people have had.

I have only driven a 2021 and that ride was kind of on the stiff side.
Hope the LCI got a little more compliant vs the 2021s…

But H&R seems to be the way to go as a all rounder for a slight drop and decent ride

Pointless Mod V3.0; special thanks to TurboAL47 for the b-day gifts!

OEM M-Performance Carbon Fiber Gas Cap

OEM BMW LED Door Projectors + M-Performance LED Projector Slides

I have nothing to add except that these tiny little asinine mods make me smile. LMAO. I'm loving the door projectors the most. It's so garish and vulgar. Hell my wife thought it was so cheesy but when she opened the door at night she couldn't help but like it too.

But yeah, I've been slackin' on updating the car. I gotta step up when it comes to the mods; I just have to find the time to commit. Oh well. Life get's in the way.

I've been flip flopping when it comes to the exhaust... keep the stock muffler and just do a midpipe or go balls out and replace the whole thing? It's tough to go by Youtube videos online but my preference constantly changes. I'm also waiting on something to hit the used market because I don't wanna pay retail.
