Anyone get a call from BMW NA about your X3m

I got a call today and they could see my previous S1000rr, M3s, M5s, and this X3m
He asked for recommendations on the X3m. Mine were CCBS brakes, laser lights, and the seat bottom from the M5. The X3m seat bottom is too narrow. In 5’8”, 190. Overweight I am not. He said he has heard the seat bottom is too narrow already. I think we might see something there in the future.

Yes, I got the call also. Mentioned the tailgate and seat. Forgot to mention a tow hitch stock!

When they announced the X5M/X6M, they said they Spartanburg plant would start doing individual colors in June. I doubt it’s ready now due to COVID, but maybe soon. I was really hoping to get the X3M in individual, but oh well.

Agree with many listed. Would add:

Light-weight forged wheel options
And yes, the CFRP roof

CF roof would be cool, but doubt a lot of people would pickup that option on an SUV. RWD mode would be awesome too.

You should be able to order the X3MC and be able to choose the standard X3M 20 inch rims. Pure stupidity you can't order one that way. Also laser lights should be included in the executive passage along with remote start.

They need to consolidate the tire specs/manufacturer to 1! It shouldn't be a lottery to get a specific tire for 1 rim selection. +1 on remote start.

RWD biased mode would be an excellent addition. CCB would be an immediate hit with me as well.

Trailer hitch option, 20" high-perf all-season tire option, more non-comp seat color options, high-end audio system option, over-the-air software updates.

Trailer hitch option
sunroof delete option

Ventilated seats and remote start should be standard in executive package.

I also think the tires should be wider. 295 rears.

Totally agree. I was disappointed to learn they were not included as I was under the impression they were standard on every car since 1986

I'm patently waiting for my call. It never ceases to amaze me that manufacturers don't just read forums to get free QA and enhancement requests.

Took me a second to figure out what CCB was. I was thinking calcium channel blockers...oops.

Like several have already said...remote start, tow hitch (at least as an option, like it is in Europe), more colors or ensure individual colors can be ordered now at Spartanburg, wider tires.

Actually, I strongly suspect they do (and on a regular basis). In support of my suspicion - back on 26 Jul 2014 I started the “Wish List for G01 (3rd Gen) X3 2017”, https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1015499 , in an effort to identify what we as F25 owners would ideally like to see in the upcoming G01. I wanted to start it early enough so in case they did review Forums they’d have time to incorporate at least some of the ideas. The last post was on 29 Oct 2017 after the G01's release. Of those 93 suggestions a majority were incorporated into the final design. It is entirely possible those were being planned regardless of what was shared in that thread, but it is at least a reasonable possibility.

While thinking about the G01 LCI a follow-up “Wish List for G01 (LCI) X3 2021” was started on 10 Jul 2018, with the last post to it made on 25 Jul 2018, and it listed 40 items. https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1514340

Interestingly, I obtained notification today from the Forum that it had just gone over 3,000 views, so it seems BMW is gearing up for LCI planning and have begun reviewing online threads discussing such, much as they did for the G01 launch. It would seem in their best interest to work in the background on Forums and Social Media and leave it up to their Genius phone teams to handle person-person interactions. And they will always keep their ideas and decisions close to the vest (can’t say that I blame them given the competition in this segment), but I have no doubt there are BMW Staff who are assigned to review online Forums such as ours and report to the Design and Engineering teams. And honestly, to make it easier for them to identify what the Community suggests, it would probably be helpful to make numbered lists they can simply check off, pro or con. At a minimum it would make it clearer and save them from reading through hundreds of pages of threads dating back months (to occ years).

And case in point, here’s the poll re: F97/98 color choices from last Summer in case it might give them some ideas. The top three (small sample size) were British Racing Green, San Marino Blue, and Azurite Black, at least back then. https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1631861

Here were some sample images from the original color thread:

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, they had already announced the colors for the X3M/X4M prior to the start of this poll. Unless you are saying that's a reason they announced they will open up Spartanburg to individual colors, eventually?
