Because people that typically pay $80k for a hopped up X3 have disposable cash. Personally I simply won't pay this kind of money for bent stainless steel piping and a muffler but they obviously have a market at these prices or they would adjust their pricing accordingly.

That b58 fi exhaust looks worse than any cheap borla. It looks like they took a bigger exhaust and removed a piece of pipe on one side to fit it in. Piping is not even symmetrical.

Have you checked the price on FI or Armytrix or IPE?
Those 3 system are made in China, where labor and material are cheaper than any European country.

I checked the FI system for my customer's G07 X7, MSRP is $4200 + shipping from China or Taiwan.
And that is doesn't includes tips since G07 X7 tips is attached to the bumper.

And the material is still a regular stainless steel.

IMO, Eisenmann is way overpriced just for a bunch of pipes welded together. And most of the pipes is not even mandrel bend. :

This is the first exhaust kit that has really perked my ears up. It sounds goooooood. . .. though I haven't found any good sound clips for the Akrapovic exhaust yet (anyone have any?) Most of the others have sounded pretty lousy, at least to my ears. I certainly wouldn't drop $4K+ on it (agree with others that there is a real value issue here with these prices for what is really just cheap steel pipe), but for maybe $3500 with the carbon tips I'd certainly think hard about it. Exhaust sound is my only real regret about getting a base X3M. While it doesn't sound bad, it is pretty quiet and just not "mean" enough for my taste.

if it’s too quiet for you, get a downpipe.

Any specific recommendations? Looking for a little more aggressive sounding, not just louder.

If you want really aggressive, I do recommend straight mid-pipe. That's what I have now, it is still in development.
Hopefully I can get things done by next week.

There are not many S58 downpipes out yet. Supersprint has them (Mr. Italy installed them and has a yt video). Manhart also has downpipes. Here in US, Evolution Racewerks offers S58 downpipes. I got a pair of high flow catted and ceramic coated ER pipes (see picture below). RG Sport has a yt video of X3M with ER pipes and Racechip (below). I cannot and don’t want to give you any specific recommendations, it’s your personal decision.

Tough to swallow paying over $4k for an exhaust. I don't even think I can do it again. I did it on the Ducati and that has 2 wheels...

I think the only thing I'd do exhaust wise is straight mid pipes since I have catless downpipes from ER through benr33_RGSport and that sounds really good as is.

Remus makes a very nice exhaust - I had one on my Macan, as its non-PSE stock exhaust was underwhelming. The Remus had a nice growl without being obnoxious. I had strangers in parking lots comment on how nice it sounded! Not sure I'm ready to change out the exhaust on the X3 yet, though.

Do you have a video of the catted ER Downpipes? I’ve been looking for one to decided if I want catted or not.

Sadly, not. I’ll install them together with the Akrapovic exhaust, when it arrives in two weeks, and post a video.

slip on and tips. Should be loud enough with the downpipe. If not, I will buy the link pipe too.

I took a video of catted, but somehow my iPhone created some distortion.

I'll try to upload it and share it.
