As great as the car is, $80k pricing on an X3 platform vehicle is a tough sell.

Not trying to be a jerk, but how is $80k on an “X3 Platform” any different than $80k for a 3 series platform? A base X3 is more than a base 3 series, so pricing for the full M car treatment seems right on to me. This only makes sense if a full M SAV is what you want. If it’s not, that’s cool too.

For the actual segment it plays in, the pricing is amazing!

Because the M3 is the iconic sports sedan/coupe that been around for decades and is drastically different from the regular 3 series. They just dropped a M engine and a ton of heavy suspension bits in to a X3 to make the X3M.

I think the point is times have changed drastically and the most popular selling vehicles are SUV/SAV crossovers; and now there are "iconic" SAVs! X5M/X6M and X3M/X4M full stop. Finally we have a full M version of what a lot of us have been wanting. I would've gone for an M3 sedan in the absence of the X3MC but now I don't have to. As far as $80k is concerned; I'm well equipped on my order and already negotiated comfortably under that figure. To each his or her own; just note the revenue generated by these "Super U Vs" goes into the development of the super sedans....and curbs the costs. And as long as there is a forum there is an enthusiast thread for each model that we all lean towards; post pics!!!!....cheers

No, they literally keep it around for photos. Never actually knew dealers did this type of thing. It was cool, I guess. Felt a bit “Christmassy” haha (got it end of August).

Saw alpine white and Toronto in person and really fell in love with Donington.

I had both Austin Yellow and Atlantis Metallic F80s. A bright Yellow Jacket Hellcat and a Vegas Yellow TTRS. Decided to go with something a little more discreet.

My opinion, but I did not think Toronto looked that good on the X3MC. I felt like it hid the lines of the car. I’m not a gray “type of guy” but DG is just stunning!

I bet the blue one would look nice too.

HEA vehicles....I almost opted for donnigton with Sahkir Orange int; but the launch color was donnigton so I decided to go another direction. It's still a sweet color though

Yea, I like how Donington Grey shows the lines.

I saw Phytonic Blue in G01 X3 and G05 X5, not feeling it.

Too bad no Carbon Black, otherwise I'll be all over it too.

Love the lighting in your second Pic. I've seen this effect on several DG photos now, so I know it's not just a lucky shot. That color really interacts beautifully with light. So glad I changed from white to DG before production. Looking forward to posting a few pics from Italy here soon!

Agreed, it took the X5M awhile also before it started to sell well. At launch it did terribly.

But seriously, congrats on such a beautiful M, glad a fellow enthusiast on Bimmerpost is able to enjoy it!

So you think the X3 M's ride was acceptable down the 15 and around the SLC city streets? All the talks of a supposedly 'brain meltingly harsh' ride makes me think twice about getting one...
