Hi all so i recently brought a 2018 bmw x3 g01 absolutely love the car and had no issues up until now. 2 days ago i took my car to have the windows tinted, sun strip and rear lights tinted. I noticed on my way home from having the work done that my abient lights in all 4 doors, dash and footwell have stopped working the only 1 working is the 1 in the roof above gear selector. I have checked all the fuses which are related to interior lights and they are all fine and the guy that did my tints says he didnt remove door cards so not sure if this is related to the tints or just a coincidence. I would greatly appreciate any help you guys could give many thanks in advance.

Yeah they broke something somewhere. I would go get a full technician diagnosis. Then bill the tint shop for it. Fuses are the only quick easy part. If they were all off I would suggest iDrive settings maybe got reset. But you have other parts that are on.

Thanks for your suggestion yes i am thinking to take it to bmw so they can run a diagnosis on it and definitely will be billing the tint shop if its proved that its something they have done meantime how do i reset idrive please its always worth a try

Are you sure it’s not because it thinks it’s too dark inside and dimming the all the lights and display? The first thing a dealer would do is tell you to remove the tint.

No because it was always coming on when driving at night (i work nights) and obviously it was dark inside the car then so cant see that being the problem personally
