Re the spare tyre - isn't that a 'spacesaver'?

These are very narrow, high-pressure, specialised tyres that are designed only to be used to get you home/to the garage and can't be driven faster than 50mph. Hence a Pirelli spare on a Conti-shod vehicle.

Quite a few of the larger BMW's have the option of either 'normal' non-runflat tyres + spacesaver (where a full-sized spare wheel and tyre would eat up half the trunk) or runflats + some extra storage space.

Happy to be corrected - it's hard to be sure form the photo'

Yes, confirming that it's a
skinny space saving spare.

Trunk space has a flat floor.

Haha. Believe me. Drive one. M2 mode. 💥💥💥
You'll forget ALL about how it looks on the outside.
I did.

I never liked the Skechers shoe shape silhouette -
And why I bought my X5M instead. But this thing actually really won me over.

Drive one.

The one sure impression that I immediately felt - and then took away after was how beautifully stiff and sports car like the truck felt. The seats were the first indication of this as I sat in initially. Very nice fitting side bolsters. Yet comfortable. All of this immediately told me that this truck is made to boogie. And it did.

while I liked the X6, I do not like the new X4 but will argue about it being ugliest ever, I think the GT models still win that.

No questions asked, the ugliest is by far this 2 series, that BMW did not dare to bring it across the pond

This looks like the equivalent of those older women who are doing 'fast walking' in the middle class suburbs wearing pink sweatpants and a headband.

Yeah, no.

4WD "Coupé". What's that all about?
Have you driven both?

I went from an X6 to an X5 recently, and horribly miss the seating position and lower center of gravity/ better handling from my X6.

There was virtually no added practicality in the difference in cargo space, I hauled more in my X6 (hundreds of pounds of stone, countless 2x12s while building a deck, and more) than I have ever had to in my X5 anyway.

I made the move so I could move to a 7 passenger configuration, if I didn't need the additional seating (to separate the little ones after the youngest was no longer in a full child car seat they could all lean on during longer drives), I would have taken a loss and gone back to the X6 within about 3 months of ownership. I simply can't get comfortable or enjoy driving the X5 in the same way.

Sadly, the kids keep growing so I'll be trading in the X5 for an X7 next or I'd be all over an X4M.
I couldn't force myself to get into an X4 or X6 for a test drive, so no I haven't driven them. I just find them ugly, so it's not the driving dynamics I have an issue with.

Just like this thing;

lol its American slang for "contact you". If someone says they will "hit you up" it means they will reach out, call, text, etc.

Example-

Joe: Hey Frank want to grab some drinks after work?

Frank: Yea hit me up when your shift ends.
Thanks. I had actually worked it out, but couldn't resist commenting 😆😆

I believe that X4 M is technicly really perfect SUV, but it looks chinese to me. Especially the back. I wonder why BMW gave up on beautiful twin pipe exhaust and choosed Hyundai two single pipe design (non M new BMW cars)

If I had to say it here aloud - it is ugly in the back it reminds me of a hedgehog. Especially w the roof rails and sloped roof. But again, I totally forgot all about it's exterior once I sat in it and fired it for a drive. Then, that test drive ! Violent.

That's because Android can easily allow hackers to potentially hack into your car.

When that's no longer a concern you might actually see it happening.

I however would not get my hopes up if I were you.
I'm about as worried about that (hacking my car) as I am of getting struck by lightning. Perhaps I should be more concerned, dunno...:

Look forward to driving all to get a better idea.

Marketing 101; they'll push MSRP up then offer discounts to make it seem more appealing, no?
It's stepping into the old X5/6M territory.
An X6M starts at over $100k. I don't recall the price on the initial release but it's been that way for awhile(years).

This may not be cheap but it slots nicely in the lineup, quite a bit cheaper than an X6M and just a little more than a similar M4.
Agreed. The 84k X4M is somewhat comparable, equipment-wise, to my 115k X6M so pricing is where one would expect. My loaded 18 M3 comp was 84k so the pricing on the X3M and X4M look about right to me.
