So the pic showed 281 km/h but you said that you now coded the gauges to read the actual speed, "not like the pic"? Whatever that means LOL. |

If I get the latest software update done by dealer (to cure a separate problem), what will be affected on Bimmercode?
I understand I might have to redo my Bimmercode changes, but I know in the past with other BMWs, sometimes a dealer software update means that some items can not be changed any more through Bimmercode. Will I still be able to turn off start-up disclaimer, and set default Drive mode as Sport, My car's booked in tomorrow morning (tues) so most grateful of any quick replies please. thanks

Hi Freshxdough,
I understand that I'd have to recode, but does a new software version being installed by dealer actually prevent me from coding some items later? I think BMW actually 'locks' some modules? I vaguely remember reading this but couldn't find reference to it. Might have been on the X2 or 335i I had. cheers

Guys. Need help. Does anyone know what code I need to turn on for me to See the “Speed limit exceeded” option in the idrive under the HUD? I added a speed limit info module and I don’t like the speed turning red once I go over it. I think this turns it off. But this is not available to me by default. I need help accessing it. Thank you.

I'm new to BMW and coding. Seems BimmerCode is everyone's favorite. Looks like there are a few OBD adapters that are available in the US. Is there any reason not to go with the cheapest which is the cable and adapter for $40? This is direct wired to the phone so no wifi or bluetooth to mess with. I assume the app will walk me through getting started. Any comments or suggestion are appreciated. This is for my 2020 X3 M40i.

Hi Guys,
is it possible to code an "acoustic signal" when locking the car? German cars don't normally have this at the beginning :-D . thanks for the replys |

If you dont have the alarm then then it's not possible. And BMW doesn't pre-wire the vehicle to retrofit an alarm anymore. They used to until recently. |
