You can't reach the top of the gauge anyways. Even if the car could reach that speed it wouldn't indicate it, it will only indicate to about 175mph or something. There was a user on here on the autobahn that showed the Alpina cluster and he was maxed out and the gauge wouldn't go past a certain number.
yeah that was me, lol and it wasnt the autobahn i have already coded the gauges to read the actual speed not like the pic. I just want it to go up to 330. so the needle gets to the top speed of 290km/h btw.
so you faking going that high of a speed? Why?? LOL
How did you conclude that i was faking???!! I dont get it?
"i have already coded the gauges to read the actual speed not like the pic"

So the pic showed 281 km/h but you said that you now coded the gauges to read the actual speed, "not like the pic"? Whatever that means LOL.

ok, let me clear this out. 281 is the ACTUAL SPEED the speedo stopped at 263 because i didn't code it then, i just coded the additional speedo in the board computer. Now however, i coded the speed (bc_v_korrektur) so now they both read the same speed which in the case of the pic would ve 281 which is the actual speed!

how do you remove the speed limiter of 250 km/hr (155 mph? Engine mod? I want to keep stock engine and just release auto lspeed limiter.
Tune
Isn't tuning engine tuning? Isn't there a way to do without engine tuning?

Edit: Oh I see ECU/DME tuning... yea no thanks as I would have to remove it and send it for a tune haha. I was hoping something like BimmerCode lol
I'm always curious where people go to get to 155mph ....
It's not hard in an M40i if you have a small stretch of highway. Especially with Covid going on.

Hi!
Is it possible to encode the g01 so that the driver's seat moves back when the door is opened?

If I get the latest software update done by dealer (to cure a separate problem), what will be affected on Bimmercode?

I understand I might have to redo my Bimmercode changes, but I know in the past with other BMWs, sometimes a dealer software update means that some items can not be changed any more through Bimmercode.

Will I still be able to turn off start-up disclaimer, and set default Drive mode as Sport,

My car's booked in tomorrow morning (tues) so most grateful of any quick replies please.

thanks

Programming wipes all coding. You just have to re code

Hi Freshxdough,
I understand that I'd have to recode, but does a new software version being installed by dealer actually prevent me from coding some items later? I think BMW actually 'locks' some modules?

I vaguely remember reading this but couldn't find reference to it. Might have been on the X2 or 335i I had.

cheers

I don't believe that is the case. Coding should go through normally. There are instances when the new programming software introduces a lock on the DME so you can not flash a tune over OBD but that's about it

Guys. Need help. Does anyone know what code I need to turn on for me to See the “Speed limit exceeded” option in the idrive under the HUD? I added a speed limit info module and I don’t like the speed turning red once I go over it. I think this turns it off. But this is not available to me by default. I need help accessing it. Thank you.

I'm new to BMW and coding. Seems BimmerCode is everyone's favorite. Looks like there are a few OBD adapters that are available in the US. Is there any reason not to go with the cheapest which is the cable and adapter for $40? This is direct wired to the phone so no wifi or bluetooth to mess with. I assume the app will walk me through getting started. Any comments or suggestion are appreciated. This is for my 2020 X3 M40i.

The Bimmercode website recommends certain adapters:
https://bimmercode.app/adapters/

I bought the cable and adapter and it works well with Iphone

cheers

Thanks for the thumbs up on the cable and adapter. Yes, I had been to the bimmercode site and there were the three options for the US. Wondered why anyone would get the wifi or bluetooth adapters considering they were more $$ than the cable and adapter. I did order the cable and adapter. Arrives Wednesday.

When it turns red it's telling you that the speed limit is exceeded. It will also flash

He doesn't want it to turn red when exceeding the limit.

If the car has factory alarm then the acoustic signal will be an option in the idrive settings.
If you dont have the alarm then then it's not possible. And BMW doesn't pre-wire the vehicle to retrofit an alarm anymore. They used to until recently.
