New update! 11/2023.50 anyone have a breakdown of improvements or changes with this new update?

Functionally improvements, and connection improvement I believe, it’s very vague

I read its new lighting, apple extended car play to hud, and drive assist improvements like stop signs and stop lights appearing in display. Hopefully not hugging centerline anymore too!

How does one go about upgrading iDrive? I have a 21 and my software is 11/20.

Same question…I don’t understand these updates. I have the app and it tells me that I’m on the latest software but it’s 11/2021.59

This is my first update since I’ve owned it. I received a notification on the app (iPhone) and then I clicked download, it downloaded it to my phone and said to link to veh. I went out to the veh, went to settings and noticed option to check software version, and at that point it had connected and showed on idrive screen and phone that transfer has started and download will continue when driving. Its parked and haven’t driven it yet, we’ll see tomorrow I guess.

Just installed it today, I'll check out tonight what changes I can find. Most people reporting, stop signs and traffic lights showing up in display, and apple car play advanced should be there, there rest seem to just be bug fixes and what not.

The G series forum people were reporting the see new things, the lighting was for euro models and the rest no clue if its even true, I have the update and I don't see anything new really...

I thought it doesn't effect tunes? its just a software update to idrive.

Did anyone's car make an insanely annoying long beep/buzz the entire time the update took place? I got out of my car and it is just a constant low humming buzzing sound from inside the engine bay and I cannot lock or unlock the car. Im guessing it has to do with the update?

Edit: update completed and noise gone. Car locks/unlocks fine.

My app downloaded the update and says to complete in the car but my car is not doing anything.

It takes forever to copy over, and the update only works when you're in park. It will prompt you.

That noise is present when the car is in diagnostic mode.
