Best rubber mats

So I need to purchase rubber mates for our X3 and was wondering if I should try WeatherTech or stick with OEM BMW rubber mats. I have never seen WeatherTech mats in person so I am interested in hearing the Pros-Cons from people that have them.

The weather tech standard mats are same fit and quality as OEM mats. The weather tech floor liners cover more of the floor and up the sides a bit.

I have the OEM rubber mats and like them fine, but if I had to do it over again I would opt for the weather tech floor liners as they protect more than the mats.

I purchased the winter mats from BWM for my X3 along with the cargo mat. Looks great. The dealer told me WeatherTech makes them for BMW.

I wouldn't be surprised, it would make sense to skip the effort and just go to a reputable source. Especially since the X3's are made in the US as well.

My set that came with my CPO has a Weathertech logo on one side and nothing on the other, I wondered if they were possible the actual manufacturer.

I went cheapo Walmart. They don't cover quite as much as Weathertech/OEM but once adjusted by cutting I was really surprised by how well they fit and how good they look. They are also noticeably thinner than the better mats. The cost, $25 for all four. The cost is why I decided to give them a try. I figure I can replace them two or three times and still come out ahead financially. I don't mind paying a detailer to scrub out excess salt that may seep around the edges. That hasn't happened so far. If all else fails, there are plenty of low cost fabric mats to cover any dirt or stains that don't come out.

I really like my OEM ones. I have the ones that say "X-Line." I like that the rear is one-piece as well.
