I don't know what the law requirements are in Canada but definitely blink on the sides.

That X3 looks gorgeous!! Strange how it look like deep sea blue under the headlamp where the sun catches it. certainly puts me in a difficult position - do I go for a 2017 LC1 or wait for the G01, and if I wait what do I have in the meantime?? I am thinking that the 2017 LC1 has enough differences over my 2014 F25 to justify the change when my lease runs out. (improved 2 litre engine, different heater display, different infotainment display, revised front end - what else it there?)

The new G01 will probably be revealed end of this year/early 2017 so if you can wait for it you might be in for an evolution. Otherwise i think now you can have a great deal on a great car that is mature and i love the new idrive system.

Too bad it's not the 10.25" screen from the X5

I just went through the same struggle. My logic was this:

The 2017/2018 will likely not be available for order for another 12-18 months. There may be some kinks to work out with the initial batch, so all in all I would be eating at least 2 years to order one. I just signed a 42 month lease, I can get out at 36, so its just 1 year more to wait.

I am going from the 2013 so it really is enough of a jump for me! I can't wait!

In the US, the model year changed to 2017 as of April 1st as well. In other countries, the model has stayed 2016, but yes, any X3 and X4 built after April 1st, 2016 will have NBT2 (NBT EVO) and iDrive 5 installed.

I purchased a preowned 2017 X3 in the USA 2 days ago. It appears to be running idrive4. It's build was completed July 26,2016. Why does it not have iDrive5? Can I update to iDrive5?
