Amazing. I priced out an X5 Diesel loaded how i'd like it and the X40i how I liked it and the price was damn similar.

Its a tough choice! Size or power?

One thing my dealer pointed out when I last visited that I can see confirmed in the recent production model pictures posted (including the pic he sent me of my car) is that BMW doesn't tint the front or front side passenger windows, only the rear windows. That is unlike other makes I have purchased. I assume the dealer would gladly add tinting (for a price), but how many of you (especially those in the South) have seen the need to do that? And have you found the dealer tinting to be better than using a third party?

I’m glad that seems fair. Some of that was BMW incentive. The dealer did a TERRIBLE job throughout the process of my lease end. I called one more time and the guy that looked up my account was embarrassed with the service I got. He asked if he could get me pricing on Monday (this was a Saturday). I said I’d have a Q5 by then. I said it was the last chance to keep me with BMW. To his credit, he got me what I thought was a fair deal.

Now is the tough part... waiting and seeing everyone else get theirs!

Anyone have a recommendation for a dealer in Florida that is willing to provide discounts on an order? Local dealer would not give anything off MSRP except the USAA discount. M40i ~66,500 msrp. I don't mind a small premium to buy local, but, it seems there is some significant money to be saved.

If you are in Florida, you might even consider ordering from any dealer in US and then arranging for Performance Center Delivery in Spartanburg, SC.

You don't need a local dealer. Order it from any dealer. I'm in Virginia, my dealer is in Oregon and I'm picking the car up next week down at the Performance Center in Greenville, SC.
