2021 or wait for LCI?

Hey gents - I'm currently negotiating on a 2021 competition model but now I'm wondering if I should just hold off until the LCI.

Do we think that the changes will be significant enough to wait for? Also, any idea on the release timeframe?

I asked this very same question (in different & probably more complicated way of course) & unfortunately didn't get much of a response. From what I know the changes are pretty small overall & won't change the p0wer level or handling characteristics of this awesome SAV in any way. So I got tire of waiting & therefore simply ordered a pre-LCI 2021 X3 M Comp...

It's hard to have a discussion on this because so little details exist on the LCI. It's all speculation.

I was about to post this same exact question. I'm super close on a '21 X3Mc but some of the posts on the base X3 sub are making it sound like the LCI changes could be fairly significant. I'm wondering if it's worth waiting now.

A lot of the discussions are quite ridiculous - the LCI refresh usually consists of minor styling updates, not major changes. Folks suggesting that it will have the big grill are off the mark IMO.

LCI

Still not enough solid info available, but I would suggest to follow this thread.

G01/G02 specific, but it might give you some idea about how minor the LCI changes may or may not be...

The changes will be minor, imo. If you want the car now you should just get it... it's an incredible car

At this point I would also wait. The 2021 (which I have) will look dated compared to a LCI, no matter how small the changes.

If you can get 10% or more off now before incentives, I would buy now. 2022 LCI will bump prices for months when it arrives.

Fwiw, I have an agreement in place for 11.3% off msrp on a 2021 X3M comp. I literally put everything on hold when I saw people chirping about an entirely new interior among other things in the LCI though.

Will the LCI bump prices on the remaining 2021 models lower or make the LCI cars more valuable with less incentives available on them... ?

Just trying to get clarity on what you mentioned.

LCI cars will not have as much discount.

You can't keep chasing the dragon.... what happens when the 2023 has a cool new feature / change? The 2024? Heck by then you might as well just wait for the next gen. It goes on and on. If you can get a good deal now jump on it.

In fariness, 99% of people probably can't tell the difference between an X3M, X3MC, M40i, or any other G01/02 variant.

Unless they give us some needed hood bulges or aggressive fender flairs, I do not think it will be noticeable to most people.

I agree the X3M could use a bit more flare - but alas here we are. The best splash you can make is MSS springs and 15mm spacers IMO.
