Yes DP in Glasgow. Ironically, I was with Fairbairn's for my last 2 cars, but this time they treated me like a golden goose. Suggested F98's were driving off the forecourts in droves at list price so wouldn't negotiate properly. Douglas Park did me a great deal. Sorry to hear you aren't getting the same. I guess its true - catch the right salesman on the right day, when they have a quota to meet, and you'll get a great deal. Good luck!

Well Euro one is no burbling at all, unfortunately. Ok I'm still in break-in period and I have done 900km so far. Mostly highway and country roads. I ordered the car with the acoustic glas, fearing that with the competition exhaust it would be very very louder than my F26 M40i. In fact inside the car, it is very very quiet when cruising (even in sport mode and with exaust mode ON). In the F26, I could barely hear my gf. Now I discovered that my gf speaks in the car . From outside it appears it makes a good sound based on some faces with smiles, but as so far I m still behind the wheel, I can't confirm. So far the car for me is a lot quiter than my F26 M40i. Overall the car is great, and I enjoy it a lot. I found it more comfortable and of course more techy than the F26. As the car is quiet and very quick it will be a challenge to keep the driving licence. I did 610km with the 1st full tank, which I consider a very good range (10.7 Liters/100 km). I except to make an average 500km-550km in the future, after the break-in time. I miss the noise of the M40i, but that's the rules here now and I will need to change my mind. that's life, of it the positive part is that the Police won't hear me arriving. Enjoy your cars guys, it's a great one. |

I’m keeping the plastic on and I’ll let the guys doing the ceramic coating remove everything. I’m driving it this weekend and would hate for the paint to get damaged before they do their thing.

Well it's taken me forever to get back here to update - it actually made it to the dealership two Saturdays ago, the day after I left for a business trip , so I had to wait until last Thursday to actually pick it up.
I've put about 200 miles on it since then and can say that for me, it's awesome. I was previously driving a 2012 335i, so this is a big change. To address some of the more popular concerns, I can say that the handling has been great, it honestly seems to do as well as the 335i did. Ride is firmer, even in comfort, but it isn't distracting or uncomfortable. You definitely notice that takeoff occurs ~3k RPM, but it's no slouch up until that point - it'll get up and go nicely but the major oomph takes a bit to set in. But when it does...really having a hard time keeping it below 5500rpm for break in! I also got the spare, which I definitely don't recommend. The raised floor in the back end is far bigger than it looked in pics I saw, you don't get the nice cargo rails, etc etc. It looks like it'll be an easy swap at some point, which I will definitely do. Having the spare be accommodated in such an awkward way kinda makes me wonder why they offer it at all. All in all extremely pleased so far and looking forward to post-break-in shenanigans! |

Picked mine up this past Saturday after waiting for Tropical Storm Imelda to make its way through Houston. Love the AG interior after having SO. Came from an F80 that I picked up in Munich back in 2015. So far I love it. PPF then off for ceramic coating.

No tint yet. I think that's just the lighting in those pics. Tint will go on with PPF. |

Well, my X3MC FINALLY arrived at my local dealer in Italy today. Tomorrow they take it to get the GPS tracker installed after which it goes straight to the PPF folks for a full 360 treatment (sans roof). That'll take a week, so I'm taking delivery next Friday. Let the final countdown begin. Will post pics!

LOL The market to pay slightly more for less practicality with a coupy sav/suv is a pretty small market. The styling is also very love hate.
I'm coming from an M4 and was not ready to go traditional sav/suv shape just yet. Yes I'm in a minority group that likes the styling, I have no need to carry rear passengers but I do want some extra trunk space. |
