I bent to peer pressure from Bimmer UK 76 and got the titanium grille. I have to say that you were right Bimmer . I much prefer it. Here are a couple of pics. iPhone quality only I'm afraid and it's raining and not clean!

and a closer one

Recommended for TiAg if you're on the fence but I understand some people will prefer the black one

And the old grille in black for comparison

I had a crack at DIY but accessing some of the butterfly clips to lever the old one out proved tricky and I gave up (far too easily!).

The wife kindly took it into the local stealers today who fitted it for £30. I think she likes it but she'll not admit she cares

I saw some pics of a TiAg with a titanium grille on here and that swung it for me. I may consider xline pro...

My wife couldnt tell the difference £30.00 not bad, I managed to fit chrome grilles in previous 5 series and had a quick look at the grilles on the X3 during my original the test drive and it looked far more tricky so had the stealers fit mine prior to collection.

X-line pro would look great - you should be the first member to install - go for it!!!! (do you know price?)

I've asked a few times re. xline pro price but still waiting. One of our Italian friends has ordered it and is awaiting news/price

Reassuring that you thought it was a tricky DIY fit too - £30 well spent

Cost me far more!

From memory I convinced you to go with

Chrome exhuast trim
rear window blinds
Titanium grilles

And you convinced me to go with xenons (very good decision btw and a must for all my future cars)

Get the x-line pro and I might follow

My wife it's down in Germany and pick up my titanium grille as I type this. I be thrilled to install it on my black x3 when she comes home. The grille cost me about 140 euro, not bad.

It's funny. People in the US want black and across the pond, titanium! Actually I really like the titanium with my space gray.

I like the titanium with the silver. Good choice.

We all want what we can't get :-) Black in the US and Titanium in Europe.

Black is only for the 20D and this is the most common due to taxation. In Norway the base price of the 20D is about 100k US and the 35i is about 185k US with todays exchange rates (1US=5.4NOK)

Personally I have already got the titanium on my 20D and it looks great together with the rails and the window lining in aluminium (VR M-sport in the official M-sport pictures thread)

First pictures of my X3. Picking up on the 18th. Can't wait, and look at that sunny weather, in South Wales! Some of the pictures are from a phone so the quality is not as good.

Looks great!

What does that third peddle do? We North Americans can't get that strange option.

Cheers sfax, I will post better pics when I pick the car up, and have a blast in it. I'm chuffed how it looks even with the 17inch standard alloys on. I may upgrade in the future, but I'm happy enough. Funny thing is when I went to see it, it was parked next to an X6 Msport with alloys that cost 4.5k being picked up on Thurday (total price 66k). It made my X3 look tiny, the X6 was massive.

I've seen the 17s on a few pics now and I like them. And you'll be safe in the knowledge that your fuel economy is better and your ride is smoother than with my vain rims! :P

The X6 is a beast and looks cool but it's cramped in the back and you can't see sh!t out of the back window!

Pugger, as you know, you got good taste

Glad to see you got over the titanium grille saga with the stealers (I should be on T grille commission!)

Pics show sienna up far more orange than in real life and your leather looks more biege rather than oyster

Look forward to pages of new pics and feedback on the manual box
