Its summer time ;)
So, I'm excited to finally take the winter boots off and get the jordans out.
Beware though, Sport Plus will make all four wheels spin, even Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber, as I learned today just a beast this S58 Last edited by spucktacular; 12-20-2023 at 02:09 PM.. |

Nice. I am swapping tires in few weeks and also cannot wait. My winters are very comfortable, but 20" wheels don't just compliment the car like the 21s do.

I'm surprised you can swap right now. I assume you have the ability to use another vehicle or not drive if needed. I'm in Michigan and it's more than likely going to snow later this week. I don't do swaps until the second week in April.

Funny that you post this. I just got my R3 off and put on my summers on Saturday.

I swapped out (possibly a few weeks too early) last week. The PS4S - huge difference. Road feel, better turn in... and of course harsher ride.

I had mine swapped on Monday and then it snowed in Vancouver on Tuesday...
I also didn't remember how hard the Continentals are compared to my Nokians. It's a world of difference and surprises me every year. Sportier for surebut so damn hard. |

I'm putting my summer's back on this weekend and I'm sure I'll be complaining about harshness as well! But it will be a small price to pay for tires that don't turn into marshmallows over 100 MPH |

Here is Germany they have a saying, "Use winter tires from 'O' to 'O'. the first 'O' stands for October and the second one for 'Ostern', whish is German for Easter.
Well its now time to put the summers on. As I took my delivery in Nov I havn't driven over 5 miles in the summers yet. Can't wait. |

Put my summers on yesterday - this is such an ordeal because I have my tires up on a rack 12 feet high and wash/wax (3x) the wheels coming off the car, then those have to go up on the rack with the help of my hoist, me standing on top of an 8 foot ladder, and then muscling them into the rack all while trying not to fall to my death.
I noticed my wheel wells were dirty so I cleaned those as well 5 hours later and finally got finished - ride is definitely more harsh but MAN does it handle better! Also iDrive recognized the TPMS sensors is record time. |

So yesterday it was between 45 - 55 degrees and I could feel my contis slipping when accelerating.
These things are terrible really below 60 - I hear the PS4S are better at the low end temp range. I would not have switched unless averages are above 45 but may need to wait a few weeks more next year for temps to be even warmer. |

The PS4S are OK down to about 35F, as long as it's DRY. But they most definitely don't have full traction. |
