Driving Assistant question - UK car

Hi All

Just took delivery of X3 M Comp on Monday.

I am either being completely stupid (distinct possibility!) or something’s up.

I can’t seem to get the lane departure to work. I meander across lanes to my hearts content and I get no warnings.

When I press the green circle thing below the hazard warning button it says All On. See here...

When I go above 40mph I get the little green symbol at top left on instrument cluster showing the sideways car in the two lines but in the big area at bottom it shows nothing. I’m guessing that is where the lane departure display should be.

See here...

Am I missing something or do I need to go get this looked at?

Cheers
Brian

Hope your enjoying the new car.

Do you mean the vibration feeling thru the steering wheel? as unless you have the driving ass plus then it wont actually turn the car back into the lane.

If its the vibration then you can adjust how hard it vibrates as it could just come with light setting.

You wont get a visual warning tho of wandering out the lane in that area thats just for warning you if car in front getting too close and things like that you will get image of a car in red on it and HUD.

Thanks for the response. So with the standard Driving Assistant the only thing I should notice is the vibrating steering wheel - never noticed the steering wheel vibrating when I tried today. Checked and it’s set to the middle medium setting. I’ll set it to the high vibration and try again tomorrow.

Thanks again

First thing I turned off in my 7er was the vibrating driving assist, but the one where it actively steers the wheels it even more annoying.
