sorry for the noob response.... i'm in the market for a winter tire/wheel combo for a 2020 x3m
shopping around on tire rack.. and for the 20inch packages... they have a square setup
255 / 45R20 tires
20 x 8.5 wheels square setup
i assume all is well if tirerack is offering these as suitable equipment for the car. there would be no harm no foul to the car in the event i go with this setup... i hope?

Absolutely. The scorpion winters in oem size at tire rack. I'm running them on the factory rims already. One of the Michelens was damaged during transport, so we early mounted the winters to avoid delivery delays. Scorpion winters are very nice so far. I can't wait to try the Michelens in the spring!
That's what I should have done, although took delivery mid September..and we did have a "freakish" early freeze in October along with 63" of snow. Was in route to have the Scorpian winters put on, roads were clear of snow and it was just over 30 degrees although 100 miles in (and half way over Rocky Mountains) the temp dropped at one point to -17 degrees!

This is the credited response - you wear the bead ...

Which MAY cause problems (low probability) and/or a tire warranty issue and/or - in a completely miniscule probability edge case - your insurance company may not cover a damage / liability claim due to improper maintenance.
