I'm interested in adding one to my muffler with straight pipe just not sure about the emissions. The Turner website says it's for off road or racing only and asks you to sign a waiver.

The only one I know out there is this one http://www.ultimate-racing.com/produ...3-35i-downpipe

Maybe if someone inquires with EvolutionRacewerks or a popular vendor on this site.

I had a Custom Enzo Performance on my X3 28i and you might want to inquire with them or your preferred local shop to see if they can do one custom for you.

You're welcome

I believe for the money that SuperSprint Exhaust cost and not adding enough sound, makes getting resonator delete and muffler delete much cheaper and better option.

Turner Motorsport confirmed that the catted down pipe would also fail inspections. So why do they even make a catted one? I ordered the straight pipe hopefully that will improve the sound. I then have to see if the catted down pipe from ultimate racing would fit. They are checking to see if it would work for me in NJ. They are a lot cheaper than SuperSprint catted down pipe which is like $1,800!

Straight pipes (will remove resonator and muffler on your exhaust system) and will def sound the loudest you can.

Catted Downpipes (less smell less power less sound) but more than stock (expensive option to avoid a little smell)

Catless (best way to go more power more sound a little smell when idle) (cheaper than catted and more to gain)

Yes I believe Catted will prob fail inspections unless you have a Software Cat Delete (ECU flash can do this for ex.)

UltimateRacing DP will definitely fit 100% !

Does anyone know if the Ultimate Racing 35i catted downpipe is a direct bolt on to the stock M sport exhaust?

I'm not sure about the catted downpipes but their catless downpipe was a direct bolt on for my M-Sport X3 35i.

Should fit if you're X3 is PWG, but won't if it's EWG. Check you build date for some indication. First half of 2013 is PWG, 07/2013 is mixed PWG/EWG, and 08/2013 should all be EWG. EWG N55 are 4" v-band to turbo, rather than PWG's 3.5"

Although, I recently discovered that my January 2014 build X3 M Sport is a PWG. You're better off visibly confirming, rather than going off of build date alone.

Thanks, pretty sure its PWG. Is the Ultimate Racing DP 100% SS including the flanges and mounts? Also, what is the increase in sound and droan if I only change the DP and keep the M sport exhaust as is. The stock M sport exhaust already has a slight droan.
Does the catless version throw any codes? If yes can this be resolved somehow?

Thanks in advance.

Catless = 100% throws the CEL (but no harm)
Catted = is not 100% it wont throw a code this is why 99% of ppl go with catless (cheaper and better exhaust sound + less stress on the turbo) also most ppl add a Flash tune to take advantage of the extra Flow (free horsepower/torque)

Ultimate catted DP

I installed the Ultimate Racing catted downpipe. I had a performance muffler shop install it and it was pretty easy with a lift. I also installed a new front clamp and gasket from BMW. Review: SOUND. Wow I was expecting some change but was impressed with how much more exhaust sound there is using this with the stock M exhaust. Its louder and similar to adding a performance exhaust. I was considering doing the exhaust but this alone is enough.Goes to show how restrictive the stock cat is. Performance, it does help bring the boost on sooner and a bit more top end. Ultimate says 15 hp but can't verify. It is made of SS and has metallic race cat. Now they say some cars will throw a code and some won't, mine did for cat efficiency but it does not affect performance. I am going to get a performance tune that will remove the code as well. They also sell a cat-less version that is even cheaper.

There's a GPS Performance Meter called "Dragy" to test 0-60 times 1/4 mile and Custom

I doubt the sport display is accurate but they both begged at 320 with just the downpipe installed.

Fsociety what sort of exhaust do you have? Im wanting to make mine a little louder than stock, but dont know if I want to spend a fortune on the Remus or AC kits. I just want a bit louder and tips out both sides of my X3 instead of just one side.

I had to poney up and get into the X4 M40i which comes with some type of MPerformance tuned exhaust from factory.

I have not noticed any change in exhaust smell. It is catted however its a small race cat with lots of flow.
