Those numbers aren't much better than what the B58's been doing for a while. Great numbers, just similar to existing tune success stories.

Find it extremely hard to believe that BMW forgot to restrict some software on the early M340i's and that they were somehow making 400 whp.

I am looking at metalic button finish in 2020 X4 and they are growing at me.
I haven't opted for them as I though they will be too blinky but apparently they are not.
Anyone retrofitted those buttons ?

Galvanized buttons are just the same black buttons painted silver. They are not real metal.

I agree. More ‘bedazzeled’ than elegant.

 M40i variants receive B58 engine update, now producing 382hp and 369 lb-ft.

 7M9 High-Gloss Black Kidney Grille with Ext. Contents now available for M Sport and M40i variants.

 Interior Trim program expands with addition of High-Gloss Carbon Fibre option for M40i variants.

 X4 M40i now includes 710 M Sport Steering Wheel as standard equipment"

I have a 2020 BMW X3 M40i on order with confirmed production in week 36! It is definitely getting the updated engine that is currently in the 2020 Z4 M40i (which I currently drive now) and the 2020 M340.
SMED, where is the 2020 order guide for Canada? When will the Canadian online configurator be available? Can't find any info on the new 2020's for Canada!
Any Canadian BMW dealer will have the 2020 X3 & X4 order guides and pricing. BMW Canada likely won't update the website until the 2020 X3/X4s are on ground at all dealers across Canada, so likely mid September.
Will the dealers give you a copy of the order guide if you go into the dealership?

Yes, they should. My local dealer gave me one no questions asked.

Didn't see this mentioned; but, it seems like the wide screen navigation screen is standard on 2020 models? On the 2018/2019 it was code 609, in the 2020 cost/build sheets it's now listed as 6U2 and is standard (NC) on all X3 variants. It's also not available on the builder as an option anymore.

It also seems like the LED headlights with cornering lights (5A4) is also Standard now on the s/x drive models with the adaptive full LED standard on the M40 variant.

Does anyone know if G01 X3s have "Non-Active" blind spot monitoring standard? I know Active BSM requires the $500 Driving Assistance Package; however, I'm curious if you still get the light/noise just no steering input. The CA I spoke with mentioned that the keywords are "Active" which means it will actually physically do something.

In Europe (it seems UK excluded) they added bigger screen as standard but still keep navigation behind paywall, so if we want nav we still have to pay for plus package.

I think DAP only has non active monitoring. Where it blinks and virbrates in your steering wheel. I believe the active monitoring which also gives steering input (resistance for BSM) is included only in the DAP+ (ACC)

You get a "wide screen" if you have navigation. No change there.

"Non-Active" blind spot monitoring is not standard. "Non-Active" and "Active" BSM are optional as zeich has outlined.

Thanks everyone for the clarification. Glad to finally put the BSM question to bed. Looks like I can cross out any cars without DAP then.

Regarding the 'widescreen' I guess I should've said wider monitor than the 2018-2019 models without navigation option. Not sure if the actual displayed content varies on the 2020 but it I couldn't find navigation as an option anymore in the 2020 build sheets.

I'm surprised after 6 bmws in 8 years you would still buy the 1st year product from BMW. I have owned just as many but never keep them long to care. not gonna lie I would be annoyed so knowing it will be updated so I decided to wait, but you got to enjoy it way ahead though.

Nope. My mom got a G20 with iDrive 7 and the full live cockpit setup. As a technophile, I expected to be really jealous and regret not waiting an extra year. I didn't end up really liking it very much. The whole thing just seems very busy, and less elegant. Round gauges just seem more timeless to me. The pictures of older attempts at a "modern dash" hit the nail on the head.

I do like that they've taken advantage of the modern larger screen sizes, and use full words instead of cryptic icons for the buttons. I also like the backup assistant feature on her car, although with all the cameras and PDC that we have these days, backing out of a tight space isn't such a big deal.

I've had my X3MC for about 3 weeks and I absolutely love the instrument panel...the mix of the new digital gauges with the physical rings; awesome! They've perfected it imho. The live cockpit is a failed attempt at reaching the conceptual design. So happy I don't have id7; the rpm go backward. Yuck. Lol

Have the 2020 X3M kept the old dash and id?
