Anyone else lovin their X3 M40d?

As Jim Carey would say... I like it, I like it a lot!

To visit my old dad I did a trip from Epping Forest area up to Poulton-le-Fylde in Lancs and it was fairly heavy traffic all the way, so I set the ACC and DA+, and Eco pro. I sort of sat there and monitored proceedings, and enjoyed the hushed and comfortable ride. Average 44.3mpg.

Since then I’ve been out and about and around the Fylde in it and am really enjoying driving it. Everything is quite effortless to it and it’s never a drama when I press the gas for a bit more forward squirt. It’s easy to drive, a pleasure to drive and I haven’t yet seen another one on the road, which is nice.

A bit frosty up in ‘t north this morning!

Looks like you had the first one off the production line...good to see they practised on yours before others get theirs!

I’m the guinea pig. Fingers crossed it’ll be ok - I’ll let you know if it’s not.

I'm still enjoying the effortless propulsion...

1000 miles now covered and am looking forward to giving it a bit more squirt soon. As it is, it's deceptively quick and very easy to a bit over in 30 and 40mph zones. I really have to keep an eye on the speedo, speed limit warning on the head-up, or quite often I just set the limiter. Anyway, it's going well and no issues yet,
