M40i with winter tyres & 695’s

Bought a set of 20” OEM 695 wheels and fitted them with new Pirelli Scorpion Winter tyres as I couldn’t find any winter rubber in the 21”.

I noticed a few posts asking for photos with 695 wheels so thought I’d share.

Personally I prefer the 21” though ride is more compliant on the non rft 20”, as you would expect. I’ve done 2,800 and the 21” tyres are already down to 6mm

£2k on eBay, plus the winter tyres.

I’ll probably claw back £400 to £500 selling the 7/8mm 20” summer tyres that the came with he wheels.

Expensive I know, especially in the UK where the year before last I didn’t even bother fitting the winter tyres that I bought.

My rationale in spending the extra buying oem 20’ over aftermarket is that I should, I’m theory anyway, be able to sell the wheels for a reasonable amount given they are 20’ oem when i move on to the next car.

That’s a good price for 695’s, I can’t see any that cheap on eBay.
