Dented door!
So I was in Sainsbury’s luckily waiting my car and a Ford smacked it’s door straight into mine no care in the world pic of damage below, any recommendations for fixed / rough estimate She refused liability and blamed it on the wind so I passed it through insurance
Top dent is completed down to the primer, lower dent is a crease View post on imgur.com |

Yikes
The only sensible thing to offer is for you to track down the person responsible for the damage and get their insurance information. Beyond that....put your knee firmly into both their doors in the flattest part of the panel, as hard as you can, then consider you're even |

If there is inner access to door panel it may be finessed out by pro. I've seen miracles.

The dents can be taken out by paintless dent repair but PDR can't fix paint loss. You'll need to see if you can live with bottle touchup in that area or have the whole door repainted. Should be on her dime. Wind or no wind she didn't control her car door. Lucky you saw it or she would have driven off.

Wow, that's terrible. Why people don't have more consideration is beyond me. That is more than a tap. And to blame it on the wind...

Luckily I was in the car and caught her but will be getting insurance to sort it out, definitely will need painting but I’m no paint expert; would it be a patch repair or entire door? No way would I live with a touch up fix

Same thing just before lockdown to my GF Audi. The schmuck opened the door, and was surprised when GF mother opened the other door popped out and was like WTF?
Got his details but he never replied, since it happened just before lockdown chased a few times and left it - insurance would just be a PITA. Quotes ranged from about 350-450 ish, so probs worth getting a chipmaster (or whatever) look. Some allow you to send photos in of the damaged piece, put a ruler next to it for scale and take from face on and about 45 degrees also, taking sure not to get light reflection bloom. Good luck. I hate car parks. |

You and me both. I always try and park well away, but find some idiot has parked next to me, and close.
A few weeks ago I was at the Airport retail park in Coventry, parked in on the front row of a block of 2 banks of 8 spaces, with a space between me and some kerbing. Well, blow me down when some scutty couple wedge their beat up Galaxy between my car and the kerbing.....then struggle to get out seeing I am in the car. Why, why, why, FFS, when there are all the other spaces to chose from? I've already a tiny dent on the crease line, between the petrol cap and rear O/S door, which looks like a van did it. Grrrr! |

Me too, I always park the furthest away from the entrance to a supermarket, my wife always asks why, I leave the car on its lonesome and when we get back it's surrounded by other cars, must be the herding instinct of us Brits as most times there are plenty of spaces nearer the entrance, makes my blood boil !!

I’ve had dents taken out in the sharp crease area above the wheel well on my M235 so the paintless dent repair people should easily get that. My guy does paint touch up as well and they do it every day and are pretty good at small touch ups unlike us that try and do it once every few years. Make sure you take the paint stick because I doubt they have Glacier Silver just sitting around.

Yeah, that would NOT FLY with me. Still her fault. I'd call the cops if I had to. When it comes to principle, I die on those hills.
