After over three months in Lockdown and only yesterday we moved to Semi Lockdown here in Wales I put fuel in the tank, I had nearly forgotten how to do that simple task.

Sorry to jump in here, Admiral, cant find your post now, but you mentioned coding was confirmed as a no go by your dealer( Sytner?) As i'm waiting for a company car just wanted to double check, any coding whatsoever?however minor, knackers the warranty?

Cheers

Your are making changes away from how BMW originally intended. If you brick an ECU through coding don't be shocked if they screw your warranty (for the effected components). In the same breath there wont be any hard & fast rules its all down to the dealer and there appetite to help in warranty situations and secure any goodwill from BMW UK.

M140 & M240 exhaust rattle are case & point for inconsistencies against warranty.

Super easy. Diffuser just pops off and the replacement clipped right in. There are issues with the backup sensors though which is heavily discussed in on of the threads in the forum here. The front lip is held on by 3M tape and screws. I'd recommend having two people to do the lip to ensure proper alignment but otherwise it's easy.

What issues were there with the backup sensors? Could you point me in the direction of the threads as i cant seem to find anything. Looking at purchasing the same diffuser and just want to see the issues before attempting to fit

***EDIT***

Found the thread

What I've done that's simple

Autotecknic Carbon fiber grills
IND front and rear painted OEM emblems
IND 3D Design front and rear carbon fiber pieces
IND 15mm wheel spacers
IND Carbon fiber side vents
IND M valve stem caps
IND front bump body color reflectors
IND Carbon fiber mirror covers
Maxton x4 Side skirt diffusers
Amazon ///M rear door sills
Amazon ///M center armrest storage tray
Amazon fake carbon fiber shifter cover with ///M logo
Amazon ///M cupholder Coasters
Ebay Aluminum door speaker covers
OEM all season weather mats, including trunk
OEM Air freshener (vent ones)
BMW windshield sun shade
Drivers side exhaust flap bypass

I'm sure there's more i'm missing. I've also have a re-flash tune with coding work. I also bought a set of 20 inch OEM wheels on DWS Continental tires. Swapped the climate control unit to a full digital display from a G30. Did a full paint correction and ceramic coating. I'm on the fence on doing a catted down pipe and another re-flash tune. Possibly MST intake system with upgraded VRSF charge pipe(s). Possibly some hydro dipping work under the hood.

Your diffuser in gloss black looks very nice... I see you said you bought this from ebay in another thread, but I wonder if it is feasible to just take off my OEM diffuser, paint it in gloss back and put it back on? any tips on this approach ?
