HUD dropping position
As I'm taller and have my seat at the lowest setting, I have to adjust my HUD higher up to be able to see it. Well a couple of times already (car is 3 months old), I have had to re-adjust the HUD position as it has suddenly dropped below where it is viewable again when I enter the car. Anyone else experience this issue where the HUD loses it's position setting??

Your not alone, it has happened twice in the six months I have had the car, when checking it seemed to change from my profile to my wife's, so I had no problem resetting, my wife said that she had not driven it or played around with the settings

If it changes depending on the profile selected, I guess I can understand. But in my car, there’s only one profile (mine) and it has changed a few times.

2019 X3 HUD Position Does Not Hold
2019 X3 30i with HUD mine does the same thing, I'm shorter, tried to raise it's position but it drops back down to the lowest position right away. I just let it go and live with it as it isn't terrible or un-workable.

I for once never noticed this behavior. MY18. It was never updated by the dealer.

Athough you have only one profile, you have to assign that profile to every key you use with the car. It has happened to me, but only when I have used a key without any profile assigned.
For example, I got my new Activity Key last Saturday, and the first time I have used it, I had to assign my profile to it so HUD, mirrors and everything were set automatically to the right position. |

I think that must be it. I did change the HUD to a slightly higher level for my wife a while back and it hasn’t dropped ever since.

I have noticed mine definitely dropping also. It’s now on the highest setting, but still just visible. I have my seat at it lowest position, but 6ft tall. I think anyone shorter wouldn’t be able to see it at all. No one else ever drives my car so it can’t be a profile thing.

The position of the HUD is also controlled by the memory seat. Make sure when you have the HUD positioned where you like it that you save it to your number one or number two seat memory, whichever you use
