OMG....YES!!! Not so much with Automatic transmissions, but still these Youtubers/Journalists still amaze me at how poor they drive and AUTOMATIC. I would think that reading up on an X3M for little bit and then doing a few practice launches would cover most of the bases and at least eliminate any bogging or rev-limiter taps.

But back in the 90's when journalists could only muster a 15.1 1/4mile in a 5.0 5speed Mustang, I was running 14.6's on 225 Gatorbacks. Then came Evan Smith from MM&FF and the baselines were set properly.

I know for a fact my Trackhawk is faster than an X3M in real world scenarios from a dig and a roll

It's still a Jeep. Heavy. Shit interior quality. Shit refinement. Fast doesn't always translate to good. I enjoyed my SRT GC but damn, talk about an inferior product. You have Trackhawks rolling around with the same stamped rear upper control arms from the base v6 model Jeep. Yeah, I'd go back to a Jeep for sure...

A few years ago I desperately wanted an SRT. I finally bought one and got rid of it after 6 months. It was fast as hell and sounded great, but my god what a POS. A couple months after buying it the exterior fender trim started separating from the body. I brought it in to the dealership and apparently that was a known problem. A couple months after that the interior carbon fiber trim started peeling. Another "known" problem.

Like I said, it was fun to drive, but the quality control left a lot to be desired. Especially for a $70k vehicle. The Trackhawk is the exact same thing, obviously with a different motor. Same shit quality though.

Exactly! The dash carbon fiber is a major problem. The dash "leather" was also a major problem and not covered under a recall or extended warranty. Mine started to separate by the cowl shortly before I dumped it. Both front struts needed to be replaced at 13k miles. Leather seats felt thin and cheap. Infotainment was slow and laggy. 6.4 liter hemi pistons are garbage cast ones that melt at the most faint bit of stress. Unless you have the Trackhawk which had forged ones (shockingly). ZF 8 speed from the SRT that gives out around 600hp. Shall I continue?
And I'll make the comparison again, a 2020 x3m went for about 78k new and loaded. Same for a Jeep SRT. I can say first hand the jeep is a ripoff with less features than the BMW. And the Jeep xenon headlights sucked balls! My buddies charger hellcat and Durango hellcat are the same trash. The xenon bulbs I had put in my Civic cast better light than the Chrysler products. How the hell do you mess something like that up!?

Hmmm...Seems like X5MC/X6MC would be the better comparison vehicle against the TH and Merc...

Haha. I only remember being on the Jeep SRT forums and people were always bitching about shit being broken or asking how to fix things or complaining about something. Looking back now it was comical.

Honestly,I would hope so with an additional 200hp&160ft/lb over an X3MC. I'll leave the additional weight of the Trackhawk out for shits&giggles.
So,what else does your $90k Jeep do better than a $70k X3M??

Jeep belongs to Stellantis, Italian/American/French conglomerate, headquarter in the Netherlands... so no, not 100% of the revenue stays in the US, sorry.

It was a legit question,I haven't driven both have you? If not, continue to troll you're doing a great job

Yeah, the X3M is slow. So is your shit bruh. There's always something quicker/faster. However,it's plenty quick for what it is and I'm 100% happy w my BMW minivan that runs low 11s in the 1/4mi. Whats your shit run again?

You're on a BMW forum, sooo yeah that's usually where you find people who think(insert model here)their particular vehicle is the holy grail.

If you read my post on page 1 you'll see that was not the case for me as I was looking to grab a GLC 63S Merc and NOT and X3M. Coulda had a Trackhawk too if I wanted..ya know,so that way I was buying from a 100% American owned company and 100% of the proceeds were staying in Americalmfao! Came down to what was available and what I got the best deal on.
You're doing a stellar job in this thread so far,by all means please continue

Better infotainment, better headlights, much more refined driveline, better interior quality, the merino leather is a higher quality than the Laguna bullcrap, s58 engine is purpose built and basically a race spec motor compared to the hemi which is used in just about every mass produced consumer vehicle on the planet. BMW is not the best (doubt there really is a "best"). But when you're trying to draw a comparison like this the argument doesn't hold up. Go slap some Punisher stickers on your Trackhawk like most others do and enjoy.

Oh, and the bmw backup camera is a lot better resolution, 3d camera, numerous crash mitigation and safety measures (iihs superior rating in some) adaptive cruise is smoother and less abrupt and jerky compared to the jeep. Shall we go on?
So again, not the best but way better value compared to a Trackhawk or SRT. 100K for a Jeep that goes fast. THE American mentality. Lol

Just as a side note - the X3M is built in the USA by our workers and counts as part of US GDP...

...as far as Jeep... it is owned by Chrysler, likely the shittiest car company on Earth and I wouldn't give them a dime.

Yes yes I know lol (I did the PCD for my X3MC and watched several roll off the line) I was throwing some sarcasm at evo213 by using his own words against him
Instead of quoting I just made it bold

I would beg to differ. Jeep is owned by a company in the Netherlands Lol. Also Jeep and Dodge just love to brag about their horsepower numbers, instead of engineering better traction control systems that can actually harness the power. We are in a global economy. BMW creates American jobs in their American plant. I don't care where my money is going I want the vehicle with the best engineering and refinement, not a brute that you can't even floor without losing traction…Cheap muscle comes at a price.

Don't forget the risk of the trackhawk being stolen! You and I both can't go a day without seeing news headlines of an SRT being carjacked in traffic or stolen right off a dealer lot. For that reason alone I would never own a Jeep/Dodge.

You are spot on with the headlines my friend.

It's the main reason I got rid of mine after owning it only a year. Not worth the risk. My buddy was targeted in his Hellcat Durango and luckily wasn't injured. But there was about 4400 bucks in damage when they attempted to steal it while he was away. He suspects they didn't confront him because he's about 6ft 4 and 350 lbs.
