I'm been on RFTs for the last 11 years, it's wonderful to get away from them. There's a certain sort of "fidget" to the RFT ride which I'm relieved to have got away from. To be fair the current RFTs and suspension setups are way better than my 335i vert which used to throw itself across the bumpy roads.
what size wheels are you running and what tryes came on it if you dont mind me asking? im thinking of ditching the rft

The deals are ludicrous. That said some fantastic deals to be had on the siblings. I intercepted and picked up my 2020 factory order M40i with almost 20% discount and 2.9% apr as the build slot had been issued.

With my spec, mileage and deposit even the best X3MC would be £150 pcm more and whilst another 160bhp is desirable, not worth £7k over the term.

Ordered. Donington Grey with pretty much every option was what they had in stock, with a Pano sunroof. We really wanted the pano, so that narrowed our search. Ticks all the boxes though, except it's not my preferred interior colour - it's the Grey - I'd have preferred the Orange or Tartufo. But still, it's gonna be awesome.

Would love the X3M but I'd be very worried about fuel consumption.

Would probably end up putting over £100 a week in.

The non RFTs are Pirelli P Zero PZ4 in 245/45 & 275/40 20's

They're not great though, I'll probably put Goodyear asymmetric 3 or 5's on when they're worn.

They're around £200 more for 4, and no better than the Goodyears.

Yeah - that will hurt. Fortunately I only do around 6500 miles PA, so hopefully it won't be too painful.

Well I had PS4's on my 335d, and then Asymmetric 3's and they were very similar, so the Asymmetric 5's might actually be better, if they start making them in our sizes.

Pretty much my exact logic as well. Going to see the stealers this weekend, but like you I can't ignore a discount of 20% and low apr. Hoping to do the same and nab an early build slot.

What spec did you end up going for?

Do you think there's any remote possibility of getting crossclimates as an alternative? Don't really want to have to spring for another spare set of wheels for the handful of slushy/snowy days we've been getting in recent years.

I think it would be a great alternative, but they don't make them in 275 yet.

I've got the PS4S's in the 245/275 20" sizes.
Having tried Asym 3 and Asym 5 and PS4 before on various vehicles, my preference is;

PS4S
Asym 5
PS4
Asym 3

The PS4 are comparable to the Asym 3 but last longer, the Asym 5 are better all round and last like the PS4, but the PS4S are better again and last longer again so IMHO the PS4S are worth the little bit extra.

But we're all different.

(Just worked out I spent over £6k on tyres last year, and I have a trade account!! )

Wow. What does a fully specced version come out at in terms of monthlies (and deposit?)

The market has literally come off a cliff since my original order.

My original deal - £600pcm, no deposit. Updated for the 2.9% APR offer, £559pcm, no deposit...now I'm seeing these deals at £479pcm and £479 in. The arse is literally falling out of the market! Says a lot about the state of the economy.

Very detailed info mate, and I'm surprised there's that much difference between the PS4 & PS4S when they're virtually identical price!

Don't doubt it, have had both too, but found the Goodyear's louder but still pretty good. Tyres are very subjective just like taste in makes and models of cars. I am sure the 5's will be good.

2 x my Kitano's have arrived and dropped off at tyre shop to get fitted. I see the other two have arrived in UK so should be delivered in next day or two. Will ceramic coat the two this weekend and probably get them all fitted sometime next week

Adds about £100 over base.

My X3MC has Comfort, Driving Ass Plus, Parking Plus, Pano, Sun Prot glass, lumbar, seat heat front and rear, car play, wifi & enhance bt. I'm sure there's some more toys that it doesn't have, so fully loaded is an exaggeration, but that's more than my 30D had, especially comfort and driving ass+. It's around 5k in options over base.

Same here - Vardy in Edinburgh is offering £479 with no deposit if you're trading in an existing BMW, though I'm sure the extra £999 deposit contribution comes off somewhere else

Works out at 20% off list no matter how it's cut mind....
