Any opinions from northern people on the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-001 RFT included here?

The price and wheels are perfect...just not sure about the tires.

I'm in VT and need serious snows. They'll be on the car about 6 months every year. Was planning on Nokian R3 SUV tires.

I just got a set of these with Blizak LM001:

https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...8;autoModClar=

I thought they looked similar to the factory 20s and they didn't break the bank.

They look pretty nice in person.

bmw stock rims are nice but I don't like the looks of them enough to keep them on as a summer set up, so I'm just swapping out the rubber on them and storing my pirellis during winter. those 3.5k mile tires will have brand new rims next summer!

my vote is for blizzaks from what I've seen on youtube. I also saw on tire rack they suggested the pirelli scorpions...never had a true winter tire before.

anyone running the pirelli winter tires??

Just wondering why your 255 won't fit with 9.5" weight wheels. I am looking to get a set of Square set up (19x9.5" +25 offset). Doing some search shows the tire size should be 255/50/19.

This is also a common winter set up for Macan.

I was confused by it as well, but the Michelin specs for those tires call for 9" maximum.

That's so weird. Maybe I will call a tire shop to find out

Based on all the charts/tables I've seen they say that 255 for a 9.5 is actually in the "idea" range.

Looks good! Did you get the 75$ each TPSM from them to?

That's for summer tires I believe. Here's right from Bibendum himself.

Do you guys have any experience with the 1% recommended difference for the xdrive system? I want to go with 235/55/19 on all 4 wheels and use the 245:50/19 setting on the I drive tire menu. The difference will be 1.85% do you think it's too much of a difference and will mess up my xdrive?

I am very interested in this question myself as I'd like to run Nokian R3 SUV in the 235/55R19 size that others on this forum have mounted.

Usually, when I see reference to the 1% max variation in rolling circumference, it is in relation to other tires on the vehicle, as when replacing one tire. Whether one can safely run all 4 tires of a greater circumference is a different issue.

The speedo difference will be off by that much. Won't affect xdrive at all. The within <1% is for different sized tires on the front or back.

I have 20x9 255/45/20 VMR rims going on my M40i in a couple weeks, so it should fit. Your speedometer will be off a little though.

Errrr, why would his speedometer be off? 245/45R20 is the factory correct size.
If anything, yours will be off (but not by a significant amount).

I'm in the process of locking down on the following at a local shop.

Pirelli Sottozero 3 RFTs (245/50/19)
RTX Graz Satin Black Wheels

Seems like a pretty nice combo based on what I've read. Any thoughts?

Good looking but they are wider so I put them in the calculator at Willtheyfit.

Website says : "Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 15.7mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 9.7mm more than before."

Someone know if that's ok?

I checked with my shop (reputable shop in the area) and they said it will fit fine, no issues.
