Question Cargo matts for those with the spare tire tumor

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
So has anyone pulled the trigger yet on a cargo matt for their abbreviated raised floor? If so, I'd love to hear of the options considered and would dearly appreciate photos. I'm sure many of us would benefit from your experiences.

Thanks!

I've seen the floor matt threads but haven't really seen much on the tumor ledge. One pic with a 3D that overhung the edge a bit. I think a dedicated thread would be helpful.

I have the weather tech liner. When ordering they ask if you have the raised floor. Done and done.

A dedicated thread about a cargo mat? Seems a little excessive since this has been asked and answered many times already. I usually search before posting to see if someone has already asked the same question I have. Saves me a ton of time.

Weathertech here. Does the job, slides around if you have a load and back seats are folded down.

The weathertech mat has the added feature of the protective roll that can drape over the bumper. Though i have yet to find a real use for that yet...

Many threads here. In general I prefer the 3D Maxpider Kagu liners and that is what I have. Some others prefer Tuxmat.

For the trunk, only WeatherTech makes a specific version for the raised floor. In your case I would recommend these.
The OEM trunk liner is not good in my opinion, please avoid. You can find photos but there are a few issues with the fit. The interior OEM liners are fine (no personal experience but based on forum posts).

I have the Weathertech too. Mine slides a little even when the back seats are up, but it's not a big deal. I'm sure a little velcro on the underside would fix that.

My neighbour recently sold his X3 and kindly offered me his mat.

He didn't have the spare wheel, so didn't think the standard BMW mat would fit. But it did!

Doesn't move about and I really like it. Especially when I got it for free!!!

A standard mat "fits" but it's longer than the floor for cars with the spare tire. The edge of the mat hangs over the end of the floor and looks unusual. However, since it's longer the end of the mat is closer to the hatch door so that may prevent it from sliding as much.

Oh hell, that's PERFECT! Thank you for posting!

Did you get the Weathertech interior matts as well? I tried to spec them up and it looked like they didn't have them available for the 22LCI yet. Could you show some pics of what you're using for matts?

Oh man! That's sweet too! How does that work when you fold down? Does it drop off the ledge down to the seat level?
