Probably not soon enough for me. Too bad because I would order this Fiona Red/Black interior for sure.
I see what you mean. I really wish they didn't put a red center armrest in though. A black one would look better IMO.

BMW USA's build-your-own link's (https://www.bmwusa.com/byo.html) down. Hoping we can build G01 X3 once it's back.

I agree vehicles just cost more each year and technology packages add up. My X3 is about $57k and a similar X5 build would be $15k more. I don't need a bigger vehicle so the X3 will be good.

It's up and I still see the old X3.

I saw 3 series got updated (its MY18 SOP is in 07/2017), while x5 are not. We might get G01's next month or sooner since its SOP is in 08/2017.

I wish we were able to delete the Moonroof in the M40i.

Assuming ZPX Executive Package alone unlocks the ability to order 4FH Front ventilated seats.

For reference: My Macan GTS build is well over $80k, and low-mileage Macan Turbos can be found around $70k. These X3 builds feel priced appropriately in this perspective.

^ I had the same thought with deleting the moonroof. I was wondering if my SA could pull some strings.

Should be noted as well that is for the 30i, wouldn't be totally surprised if M40i is different.
The engine shouldn't affect the residual right??

I think I have to wait to see one in the flesh and by that point the residuals should slightly improve. That 2.5% residual help though is nice and applies to me as well.

I really want to see one in person to check out the PB color. Anyone knows when it will be appearing in a show??

I drove to DC to see LBB for the first time and soo glad I did

The Pricing Guide shows "100%" for M40i's Moonroof implying we have no chance.

3er with I6 hits $60k all day long. Yes, sometime this year, sales volume of X3 will surpass 3-series, at least in the US. There's no turning back now.

Ouch. Buyers looking at a $60,000 3 series sedan have to be a bit reluctant when a $60,000 X3 is right next to it and has so much more practicality , a higher seating position and higher ground clearance.

Buyers looking at $35,000 3 series sedan have to be a bit reluctant when a $35,000 X1 is sitting next to it.

Hmmm... is it manufacturers killing the 4 door sedan .... or buyers ?

Thanks for the info. See my post above.

I can imagine a lot of dealers purchasing both the above vehicles that you specified and placing them on their lot for sale. Here you go Joe Customer .. which $60K vehicle do you like ?

BMW has refused to make a 2 series sedan and stretched the 3 series from being a 35-55k car one or two decades ago to now being a 31k to 75k vehicle.

The SUV/SAV has gone from being a premium size vehicle with a premium price to instead being marketed directly against its coupe and sedan counterparts with multiple sizes and multiple price points. The X1, X2, X3, and X4 all compete against the 3 and 4 series.

You took the words right out of my mouth. My decently optioned 2016 X5 was about 65k MSRP.

Nice! Can't wait to see the X3M order guide. I'm guessing another $20-$25k on top of the series X3. That would put a nicely equipped X3M at around $80-$85k and hopefully with a carbon fiber roof option for those of us who don't want the moon roof.

I'd think the X3M is a low-cost alternative to a Macan Turbo so $80k sounds about right.

Looks to me like the prices are basically the same as before, it's only more if you equip the new one with things the old one either rarely had or couldn't get at all. You could easily get a current X3 30 into the mid/upper $50's (xLine/M Sport, premium, cold, DA and DA+, tech, lighting, HK sound), and a 35 over $60k. Seems pretty reasonable to me, it's not like the new one was going to be cheaper.

It's incredibly lame that BMW forces us to order certain packages in order to get other ones. For example, one needs Premium in order to get Executive, even if they don't want or need Premium. Seems like BMW is moving away from the customizing aspect and do more bundling. Missed the days where I could just pluck which options/packages I want and only have to pay for them.

IMO, at the price point that BMW is commanding, the X3 should come standard with all safety features rather than charging $3,000-4,000 for them. Making them standard would make them more competitive.

I'm thinking the same $80k loaded up to $82k pre-sales/concessions which will come into play in the second run...just going to hope they have options like M seats similar to M3 or X5 M ventilated seats/cooled seats. I'm willing to go with X3M over the X5M that I have; size/cost is so much better!
