Either one for free would be worth the 5mi walk to work for a week, for sure!

The thing I'm really bummed about is that the X3 was going to be here in time for my birthday camping trip. He said there is a chance it could arrive the day before or be ready the morning of the day I would leave on the trip. Hopefully there will be a good update tomorrow!

I'm not to familiar with those packages, would the tire and wheel be useful on a lease?
I've just been informed that BMW will no longer accept orders with ZDB for 2018. So my only option is to either not get it or wait till September for a 2019.

I'm going to just wait for a 2019. My dealer is going to cover the lease extension for my current car and a 2019 means they should hopefully have fixed any first generation issues.

Sounds like a good plan. We're going to hold on to our 2015 X3 35i LCI until the 2019 as well, but mainly because we like to space our X3s at least a year apart. Hoping for the M-Sport steering wheel to be available as well, but if not, we still have some leather left over so will make another cover.

Will they honor your 2018 deal on a 2019 proportionally?

Hope this isn’t so. Been getting quotes on a 2018 build with ZDB. Besides the wait, I assume it’ll be harder to get a good discount on a MY2019.

As I learned getting a quote isn't a problem, placing the order is.

My CA told me that if I ordered a MY2018 with ZDA/ZDB they would honor the order. He said that "dealer build" cars would not get those options but they would build special orders with them. I asked if that meant that BMW had enough parts for the special orders, "yes". Not sure I really believe this. I think they want your order and down payment, then will give you a hundred reasons why your order is delayed. This was enough to put me off. I may come back after the 19's are out - assuming they have those options. They better. Most of their competition is including much of that stuff as standard equipment.

FYI, on 6/4 I ordered a 2018 M40i with ZDB. My dealer said it took some doing, as the order system wouldn't let them add it, but they were able to call BMW and make it happen. I have a production number & vehicle inquiry report showing the package as part of the build.

Ordered 6/2 and dealer swore up and down that he could get ZDA and ZDB when his July allotment came in. Today he finally admitted he couldn’t get it done.

I cancelled with him and bought one off the lot of a different dealer. Had to drive 150 miles to check it out and negotiate price/trade. Picking it up this weekend!

Edit: If you search on Cars.com and sort by highest price you can find ZDA with ZDB cars out there. Usually pretty loaded vehicles with options like 21" tires, trailer hitches, ventilated seats, etc. I didn't want those extras and those vehicles were too far away from me to test drive in person before purchase.

Does that mean you gave up on ZDB? I'm willing to travel pretty far, but haven't found the right combo.

Never ordered a car before. Can you cancel at anytime and get your deposit back?

There's always some compromise if you don't build your own. I was able to get one with ZDB!

Maybe your dealer can search and make a trade?

Haven’t been able to locate blue + executive + ZDB + 19”. Except maybe one with another $5k of options I don’t want. So will probably have to order.

I have about 10 bmw dealerships in the MD/VA area. A local no hassle dealership has x3 m40i discounted at 11% so i can do better at other places. I will be a first time bmw owner

$65,270 x .86 = 56132 + TTL. Im thinking of contacting dealerships for 9k discount (14% off). reasonable?
Would you please PM me the dealer's name where you received the best deal?

Thanks a lot man!
