??Question??
How do I figure out what system the Idrive 7 is working on - I understand that the current is 7-20. But how do I know if mine has been updated - This X3 was built on or about the 9th of October- Also, can these 2021 get live or over air updates ? |

There's no iDrive version number available anywhere in the system (only nav map versions). However, the latest rev from July will show both Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto in the apps menu (push the globe button).
There's lots of confusion on the topic, but software cannot be updated OTA on our cars.

If you have 20-07 your nav screen on the left side will look like this. They minimized the menu options to make it simpler to use. Also you will see Android Auto on the Apps screen.

It goes really well with the Blue stitching, but not with the M Performance red stripe on the steering wheel. Funny thing is my buddy has a 340i with Red start stop button and M Performance wheel with Blue stripe. Lol
