So there it is - 355hp. I'm glad I was wrong, and they did get the higher output B58 ready after all. Surprised they are calling it an "M0" though since that was what the original 322hp version was called while the newer 335hp version goes by "O0". In any case, this bodes well for the G20 release next year. I'm sure the 740i and 540i will eventually get updated too (740i is still using the 322hp version, even).
Great looking SUV - best looking of the bunch compared to the Q5 and GLC in my opinion. |

The X3 logo (on the left side) comes in the traditional BMW M font, not the traditional BMW font...

Are those fog lights or reflectors on the front? Either way the look out of place and blingy. Front facia looks too busy for my taste. Interior and the rest are bigly.

I actually like the xLine front bumper over the M Sport one; M Sport bumper looks like it's been squished.
Not sure how I feel about the over sized kidney grills... I'm really liking the interior.

Wow a larger X1, as per other posts this is Audi team moving to BMW, all about size extra small to large, even the M5 is now a quarto.
not liking the way BM are going with copy machine design. |

Is this going to be the tendency with X-vehicles from now on or even BMW overall? The N20 as base or the B58 option for a $12k+ premium? No more X35i option?
The current X3 offers the X28i at $42k and the X35i at $48k, a $6k premium The X4 offers the X28i at $47k and the M40i at $59k, a $12k premium for the M40i version. This is a substantial increase and for this new X3 I see the same tendency happening. Get stuck with the N20 or get a full blown M40i. With the X3M coming out I see more sense on a X35i version than a M40i. Love the N20 on my wife's 428 but on an X3/X4 is not the ideal engine in my opinion. And the only option being the substantial premium for the M40i version pushes us outside. Not everyone is a hardcore enthusiast that would enjoy everything the M40i trim offers. I think this two options segregates the trims far too much. After owning BMWs for the past 20+ years, every model release pushes me further and further from the brand as BMW becomes more and more like Audi.
